I am undecided about buying the book. My curiosity may get the best of me and it may be interesting. I like the fact that the Anthonys did not get one and they have to buy their own. I like that she does not care what the Anthonys think and so I may end up buying one.
Hi all, I have bought the book. I like true crime, and mostly I am interested in anything she might have gotten from interviewing friends and family. Alot of people I like in this case are benefiting from this case inadvertantly, Bill Schaeffer, Belich, even Hal boedeker has readers he wouldnt have had since this case became so widespread. I have always read Anne Rules books, I never looked at this as blood money. The newspapers etc have made money Im sure, and I dont think any of these people WANT Caylee to have died. I guess I think of this as their job, we all get paid for what we do for a living. I deal with illness every day, so I guess people could say I earn blood money from patients pain and suffering that brings them to the ER. JMO, but Im glad if the book gets the facts to those who cant spend time researching like those of us blogging. The defense gets their story out, all lies and half truths, Im glad there is an easy way for casual readers to see how horrifying this case is, in the spare time they have to open a book and read it all in one place. I havent read the book yet, but as soon as it is here I will be happy to give a book report for anyone interested!!!! Again, just my humble opinion.
PS The low price on Amazon of 6.99 definitely effected me buying the book now instead of waiting like Steph, for the half price or used book store price!
Why bother there hasnt been a trial and you can read for free what she knows online……i dont think i want a book about the litttle demon in my house….and to feed Fanning……or to give her something to donate to Casey’s charity OH HELL NO!
Fanning has stated no money is going to the Anthonys. She didnt interview them, but only friends and family members. I doubt any money would make its way to the Foundation. I agree Kim we can read for free whats been written, but I guess I feel not everyone has the time or resources to be on the computers and blogs. Many of my older patients were quite happy a book was coming out as it is painful for them to sit at a computer for any length of time. I guess its just a different perspective.
I agree with all that the book is a bit premature, being prior to the trial, but Fanning felt she wanted to ” even the score” with the media info thats been out. She has been pro-Caylee justice in her blog many times, and irritated by the spin in the media. Having said that, Im sure the results of the trial , like OJs trial will be widely publicized, while the little details we find in news article etc are glossed over on national tv by the defense appearances spewing nonsense all the time.

AZ…I agree with you. The fact is that there are going to be books and movies done about this case, just like soooo many other cases. I believe in the Scot Peterson case there was 3 movies made about it, not sure how many books…I know of at least 2. My big thing is that the Anthonys don’t make any of their blood money off of these things. Also didn’t Fanning say she would like to either see a book or write a book when this is over about the family and their dysfunction?

Good morning early birds. Why would I buy that book? My laptop is full of every bit of information that has ever been released to the public. The only difference between her book and my laptop is that she has tied it neatly together in a book, and mine is more like a messy underwear drawer. But, you, she and I have all the documentation so far. Also, I’m sure that azrenee will give us a synopsis at some time. So, save your money for Christmas and buy something for someone in need.

Yes, azrenee, we have a lot of super sleuths on this blog who have supplied us with information we were unable to find ourselves. I thank all of them who are just so much more computer literate than I am. I am trying to ignore the tatoo and earing thing for fear that my feelings would be interrupted as being critical of the Anthony’s. God forbid. If I had a tatoo for every loved one in my family, people and animals, I would have to be in a circus sideshow as the “tatoo wonder of the world”. I prefer to keep my grieving to myself, in a very private place in my heart.

Hi Gap, nice to see you. I haven’t been blogging much lately. Just reading around the sites, waiting for some real information. I was thinking of how to set up my den for next year, when the trial starts. I want it to be totally self contained, i.e., fridge, microwave, running water, add on new bathroom (might have to extend a wall), arrange for food deliveries, my puter and laptop to correspond with the rest of the family at the other ends of the house, hire a dog walker, etc., etc.. I just hope that my husband doesn’t expect to be fed during those estimated 6 weeks of trial. I’ve fed him for 39 years, not it’s my turn for the next 39.
If you play your cards just right you may be able to get the dog walker to bring hubby his food!!! I wish this trial was starting today.

I can’t stay here too long this morning. I’m being dragged from my comfort zone here to go play golf. Wish the course had wifi. At least we have gorgeous weather now, no more sweating. Usually, when I am away for a whole day, something happens in this case. So, maybe today is the day the docs will be released. I think we are owed 2 batches of docs. Doesn’t the defense have a time limit as to when they have to release them. There must be, otherwise they could hold on to them for eternity. Muesli, I agree on the tattoos etc, Idont care what people do but it sooo irritates me when people cry poor, collect disability, and then take vacations and buy things like expensive tattos. If you are disabled ACT DISABLED. How can Cindy say she cant work at her job, behind a desk, being something of a manager, when she can travel to NY, Cal etc, dine at 5 star restaurants, sit in a tattoo parlor for hours getting a tattoo, go on a cruise and sight see, lay out in the sun, play poolside games!!!! I guess my parents taught me about work ethic and honesty and these people defy both. Im sorry their grand daughter was murdered, and Im very sorry their daughter apparently did it, but the world doesnt stop turning…and it doesnt give you a free pass for the rest of your life.

It is immediately after his departure that we see Casey flit back and forth across the map of Orlando like the ball in her beloved Beer Pong game. Her whereabouts become either uncertain or downright unknown frequently through-out the days and nights. One such time is just before 5 a.m. on July 2nd.

I think she feels she has hoodwinked everyone with her dazzle and BS…True enough as we see it wears off these men and women she hangs with soon enough. I never saw anyone change friends as often as she does!

I’m sure the haunting of cma was in the fact that she knew that Caylee’s body was decomposing into a skeletal state. Knowing the body was leaving, only the spirit of Caylee would be left to watch her and beg for justice. She surely felt Caylees spirit near as she was the one who took her life. Remember the story by Poe, The Tell Tale Heart. The murdered have a way of letting the murderer know that they are still near. I’m sure at one time in her miserable life she had a connection, though I’m sure a shallow on to her child. That’s what makes the haunting so valid. Caylee will always haunt her mother’s mind In my opinion, looking at cma lately, the haunting is going on every minute of every day. JMO

Someone bought it for me as a gift. If you read the depoes, you have read the book. SOrt of a cleaned up version of the doc dumps, lazy writing for sure. BUT It makes them out as they appear. Hen-pecked loser and a goofy mean b*tch wife. I sure would not buy nit but as a gift it was ok. I am considering making it a pdf and dumping it on pirates bay anonymously :evil:

I did buy the book and am halfway through it. Granted most of it’s info anyone following the case already knows but there are somethings I didn’t … the way she’s laid out the story though is interesting and the chronology is accurate … and you have to love the dedication page:
