Rosa was with her boyfriend Keith Williams on the 18 August 2008 when he called the OCSO regarding what he had found out on Suburban Dr.
She states that KW came home and showed her what he found. She states he has always been eager to look for Caylee. He showed her the bag and the stuffed animals.
Rosa says that the lady from Texas had been calling KW with visions, and he could probably find something. When the bag was found it was almost exactly what she described.
She says the bag was shown to her in the trunk of the vehicle. She told KW that he needed to call the police immediately and give them it right away.
KW called police and when they got there they talked a bit, drove over to where the bag was found and when they got to the area, the cop stayed in the car for a while. It was about 20 minutes before the cop got out of the car and when out he was very nonchalant. RH does not remember if she got out of the car, but she knows she did not go in the woods with them. They had been gone about 5 minutes and then came back.
She state the cop took the bag and they drove off. She is not sure if the cop took the bag with him or threw it away.
She was not with him when he went to the Anthony compound. But did say that Cindy was acting all weird.

IIRC, the cop (former Deputy Richard Cain) through the bag back in the woods. Since there was no further mention of the items in the discovery docs (i.e., submitted for testing), I had almost forgotten about Ketih W.’s find.
What I do find interesting is how often the name Deputy Richard Cain shows up at or near the Hopespring/Suburban areas. On 24 June 2008 Cain was the responding officer to George’s gas can incident. He was also the responding officer for Roy K. and Keith W. in August 2008.

Humble, I’m not so sure he is such a terrible cop. After reading Keith’s interrogations yesterday, I can see why this kook would not be taken seriously. Keith talks around in circles. Maybe it is a trait of that neighborhood. The only one from that neighborhood who told it like it is was, was Bailey Dickens.

Humble, when J & B Dickens told LE they advised Kiomarie to cal them about her “Caylee could be in the pet zone” theory and that she thought Casey had contacted her recently, if this was his assinged area, why wouldn’t Deputy Cain have been more involved in the investigative aspect of this case?
Smoke, I have no clue, but from what I see he isn’t very good! I guess some just don’t feel the time to look deeper into things. He also was the one who responded to Roy Kronks calls, so he must have been pretty tired of it.

Okay, I read the transcript. That was a lot of nothing. So, where is the bag with the stinky stuffed animals. I think I would have asked what the smell was, if she recognized it. But, it is always easier to look back and think of the right questions. Wonder if Cindy recognized the smell in the bag, when Keith showed her the stuffed toys. I’m still very curious about the plastic horse which was found at the site of the remains (sorry again, George).
Smoke, I would think the detectives do the interviews, not the deputies.
Didn’t Keith say that the deputy called someone to find out what he should do? Perhaps a supervisor told him to ignore just another kook, just one of the thousands they had to deal with.
All she did was verify KW’s story. From what I have been reading that bag is long gone. I do think in the interview with her it was about releasing Cain..

Humble, the pictures of Caylee are so adorable! She looked really happy and that’s how I would like to remember her.
Muesli, you made a good point about Richard Cain not being part of the investigative team on this case.
There were still a few things that troubled me about his lack of involvement, so I briefly reviewed his transcripts (part I) and (part II) which was the 2nd LE interview on the same day – 12/18/08. He filed no incident report and only mentioned the bag of stuffed animals via e-mail dated 8/18/08 @ 1:57 p.m. addressed to Deputy Awilda McBryde, OCSO – Missing Persons Investigator.
Initially, Keith W.’s story seemed credible. However after reading an interview write-up (Parts I & II) on Blinkoncrime Blog, I became very skeptical of his story. Should you wish to read what blink wrote, Google: keith williams + blinkoncrime.

All we know at this point is the notice of “unavailability” for LDB was filed against the 1st Degree Murder case at the Orange County Clerk of Courts.
There is not enough detail on that web-site to determine if that means she simply will not be available for the upcoming hearing on 11 Dec 2009 or for the remainder of the case. I wouldn’t read too much into it for now.

Good question… all we know is the Pre-trial hearing for the 1st Degree Murder case is scheduled in January 2010. (see calendar for upcoming events for the actual scheduled date)

Hello everyone.. Just a quick message on my way out the door to work.. Tonight is the last night this week.. Thank God.. It’s been a LONG week.. I was just surfing around, resting my legs, and I found something that I hadn’t caught before.. Was listening to some old video’s of Cindy’s yapping, and this woman is truly on the nutty side IMO.. Unless I’m misunderstanding this conversation.. It’s the 911 call when she says We can’t find my granddaughter, then goes on to describe her.. I thought at first she was describing Casey, but in the next sequence it asks the description of the clothes she was wearing, and she gives the description of Caylees clothing.. So unless there’s something missing in between, (I don’t know where to find the actual 911 call quickly), she describes Caylee as 5 foot 1 and a half.. WOW.. What a big kid.. I’m 5’1″.. And I’m full grown.. Take a listen and see if you hear what I hear, and if someone knows where the actual 911 call is, and can debunk this, that’s great.. I’d hate to think that certified nut thought that Caylee was 5’1 1/2″ tall.. But that’s sure the way it sounds.. It starts at 2:20 into the video..

TUE, August 5, 2008 – George was seen carting bags of stuffed animals to the curb. Lee said they were toys that had been donated to the family and none belonged to Caylee. He also said they considered donating them, but they were in poor condition.
