Looks like Cindy and George will be in the hot seat on 11 December. They were served a subpoena. I wonder what they will have to say? I don’t like being on TV? We need special attention, we are a celebrity family? It’s no one business what we have to say to our daughter? Anything they have to say will be too much!
The State filed a motion today in response to the motion filed about dismissing the fraud charges!
States Response to Defendants motion to dismiss counts 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13 for violation of double jeopardy
It states the defendant is charged and information filed 22 September 2008. The charges consist of one count grand theft, four counts fraudulent use of personal ID, four counts forgery and four counts uttering a forged check.
It also states the double jeopardy concerns require that the trial judge filter out multiple punishments at the end of the trail not the beginning and double jeopardy protections cannot be extended to an earlier stage of the proceedings.
And that all of the crimes contain independent elements of proof. None are degrees of the same offense.
This motion is signed by Frank George Assistant State Attorney.
According to Mr. Hornsby, he states That he does not expect a plea deal in the fraud case. He claims the state wants multiple fraud convictions so that can be used against Casey in the murder trial. He also states that the Judge could be holding out as long as possible for a plea deal. In response to the jail visits, Hornsby says: “Every court is going to say, ‘No, we’re not going to give special treatment just because she happens to be in a high profile case.’ No chance he’s going to win on this particular motion at all.”

I’m predicting some ‘how dare you’s’ some mistruths, some ‘grieving grandparent’ cards to be thrown out there. Wonder if ol Cindy will march right up to that stand, water bottle at the ready, gum chewed just right…and really tell them how it is!! Oh I can’t wait. Remember, this is not a civil case deposition and they won’t get away with the self righteous control-freak act they did when they embarrassed themselves with their disgusting belligerence at the zenaida gonzales deposition.
Hopefully they will tell some whoppers and say something to get them FINALLY charged with perjury.
