Her boss had never seen Casey again. He said she was fired because of job abandonment. He also said in order to go to work for Universal when that all happened…you had to go to this seminar of something like this. He said Casey did NOT attend and wouldn’t have been able to work for Universal. But, in the docs it shows they fired her in April of 2006 or somewhere like that. Someone said maybe that was the official date because of what ever their regulations might be.

He was only working part time. But, if Casey was moved around she would not have been a regular employee…she would have been concerted a casual employee…at least I would think they would.
I just don’t see how her boss that told them she abandoned her job wouldn’t have been informed that she was moved to a different department…that makes no sense.

ColorVision bought out Event Imaging in 2006. I believe it was April 2006. This is the company Mike Kozak was referring to when he spoke about the transfer to the new company. Casey did not transfer.
It is possible that Casey went to another sub-contractor company [name unknown] after leaving Event Imaging and they also assigned her to work on-site at Universal.

Ceridian is an HR services company that many companies outsource to, especially to handle payroll.
I just can’t see her going somewhere else and working…I really think once she didn’t work she really enjoyed that. Lauren Gibbs stopped babysitting for Casey in April 2006 when Caylee was about 8 mos. old. Casey told her she was working at the Sports Authority at that time. Lauren said Casey lied to her about that.
I am not going to rack my brain about what Casey was being paid for and when. Based on what we do know it appears Casey’s last time worked ocurred within the same time period as when Lauren stopped keeping Caylee.

Anymore it is very commonplace for companies to reduce the cost of processing payroll by outsourcing it to companies like Ceridian, Paychex and others. It just makes good business sense. Ceridian is only the name of the company that issued Casey’s paychecks in the 1st Qrtr. of 2006, but it is not the name of the company she was working for. We do not have the name of that company or if we do I missed it.
Me too Steph. I really hope they put her in her place. I want her ‘grinch face’ publicized all over the place again.

how many of us woman have worked up until our babies were born then were put on termination & got paid for it after our babies were born. I know I worked a long time before & after all my kids but never paid much at all when off & I went back w/in a week after each child. guess it depends on what our job was.. mine, was a desk so not bad but still did a lot of walking around for others.. I am completely baffled as to her actually duties & still question she even made but mere monies.. why would anyone hire someone in this position without a hs dipoloma anyway, it doesn’t click with me!

FMLA only guarantees time off without lose of job. It is at a no pay status unless you have sick, vacation or other personal leave paid time to clock off with the FMLA. When out of all paid time, it is at a NO PAY status.

He was only working part time. But, if Casey was moved around she would not have been a regular employee…she would have been concerted a casual employee…at least I would think they would.
I just don’t see how her boss that told them she abandoned her job wouldn’t have been informed that she was moved to a different department…that makes no sense.
It also makes no sense that she was payed for so long afterwards…Even Lauren discovered she wasn’t working and quit watching Caylee. Someone said long ago maybe they had to wait a certain amount of time before terminating….But, than why pay her?

ColorVision bought out Event Imaging in 2006. I believe it was April 2006. This is the company Mike Kozak was referring to when he spoke about the transfer to the new company. Casey did not transfer.
It is possible that Casey went to another sub-contractor company [name unknown] after leaving Event Imaging and they also assigned her to work on-site at Universal.

Caylee was born 9 August 2005. We do not have enough history to show how long Casey took off for Maternity Leave.
I just can’t see her going somewhere else and working…I really think once she didn’t work she really enjoyed that. She did work for a little over a year at Kodak…Plus he was going to train her for management position…This would be more money. Why wouldn’t she go back instead of starting all over. Plus those months she is getting paid…Lauren also discovered she didn’t work and wouldn’t sit anymore. None of it makes any sense at all. Unless it was a part of the maternity leave she did’t get

Lauren Gibbs stopped babysitting for Casey in April 2006 when Caylee was about 8 mos. old. Casey told her she was working at the Sports Authority at that time. Lauren said Casey lied to her about that.
I am not going to rack my brain about what Casey was being paid for and when. Based on what we do know it appears Casey’s last time worked ocurred within the same time period as when Lauren stopped keeping Caylee.
Event Imaging Solutions was a sub-contract company for Universal.

Steph have you ever been with a company during a merger? I got the sense from Miike Kozak’s interview that he was speculating about Casey being fired for job abandonment. He may have simply lost track of her once she did not transfer to the new company, ColorVision. IDK

I have been with my x through 2 mergers. Idk…I think Mike was taking her under his wing and also thought she could do more…that is why he wanted to train her into management. She could have been working…It has been a while since I have been around large companies. But, I don’t remember anyone that lost track of a person like that…Maybe Mike shouldn’t be in the position he is.

Anymore it is very commonplace for companies to reduce the cost of processing payroll by outsourcing it to companies like Ceridian, Paychex and others. It just makes good business sense. Ceridian is only the name of the company that issued Casey’s paychecks in the 1st Qrtr. of 2006, but it is not the name of the company she was working for. We do not have the name of that company or if we do I missed it.

how many of us woman have worked up until our babies were born then were put on termination & got paid for it after our babies were born. I know I worked a long time before & after all my kids but never paid much at all when off & I went back w/in a week after each child. guess it depends on what our job was.. mine, was a desk so not bad but still did a lot of walking around for others.. I am completely baffled as to her actually duties & still question she even made but mere monies.. why would anyone hire someone in this position without a hs dipoloma anyway, it doesn’t click with me!

Mike must be wrong, but I don’t think he is about the abandonment…it shows the last day she worked there was April 23 rd but her last check in March 10th.
My mom lied about how far along she was to continue working…I don’t know that she had maternity leave, but went back to the same office afterwards.
Hi everyone, on for just a minute. I know when I worked, we had a Family and Medical Leave Act, and the woman got paid for baby leave. Of course not all company’s have it in there, but it is becoming a bog thing.

After my last experience, I promised myself I would not do that again. Due to the buffering I missed that all important argument Baez made to Judge Strickland about members of his duhfense team being “technically challenged.”
That was the reason Judge Strickland reversed his own decision about the release of the autopsy photos. That said, I will wait until at least 1 or 2 hours before viewing the hearing tomorrow.

I think she lied on her application for work. Of course if the question is asked, did you graduate, she would say yes. IF they would have checked they would have figure out she didn’t. Also Universal is just like Seal world here, they hire the kids.
FMLA only guarantees time off without lose of job. It is at a no pay status unless you have sick, vacation or other personal leave paid time to clock off with the FMLA. When out of all paid time, it is at a NO PAY status.

OK back to Ceridian. Apparently, WF no longer worked for EIS with these 2006 paycheck activities at AMSCOT. A company like Kodak would never hire outside payroll companies. Part of being a big company is that all that confidential info stays in house.
So who was she working for??? I smell fish…
Smoke, when reading up on it, the company can choose how they work it! There are requirements set forth by the company. The company I worked for paid employees..
I think it is wonderful for men to share in the responsiblity of caring for the children, so it makes a lot of sense to have this benefit apply to anyone who has primary care responsiblities. We’ve come a long ways baby! Woo hoo!

some here were lucky getting paid for time off, not so lucky here to have that when I was having my babies [huhhummmm] .. just lucky to have a good job to go back to with a few days pay off. They called it termination back then too as if you were fired! I hated that word & actually had to call after my first baby was born to ask if I still had a job & they said yes but that was just a term they used! duh!
Casey can lie about graduating…remember for some reason her transcripts say she graduated. I sure wish we knew if she somehow had that copy or if it was computer generated…that still bothers me, lol

Your right Smoke, the policy at the company I worked for gave it to them. It was in their policy. NOT all company’s do that.
The military also give the service member 2 weeks off after the baby is born. That is new, and hasn’t been around long.
Yeah Humble, the military is all about taking care of the family. And rightly so!
It does not surprise me tough that some companies are finding better ways to make it work in support of Work/Family life goals. As long as their practices are uniformly administered and not with only a select few, those companies that have taken this federal law (FMLA) to a new level are to be commended!
