On the Today show Saturday morning, when asked “they [Anthonys] have also been subject to protesters, people angry that they support their daughter, where do they stand right now? Do they support or believe her account or are they really on the sidelines waiting for this to play out?
Conways reply: “They support their daughter 100%. The funny thing is, is that the Constitution presumes her innocent until proven guilty. The judge does, the state does, jurors are instructed to do so, yet her own parents are criticized for giving her the same presumption and that is just not right. They presume her innocent as everyone else should.”
Maybe Mr. Conway is confused alittle bit. I don’t believe that people are mad that they stand by their daughter, I believe most are mad that they are out lying, lying, and lying. Everytime I hear them speak they have a different story! George, who is now on Cindy’s agenda, ALL of a sudden he had breakfast with Caylee that morning, carried her out to the car and waved goodbye. Oh give me a break! What happened to I saw Caylee on the 16th of June, while I was watching my cooking show. blah, blah, blah! And this one from Cindy, “I found my daughters car today, and it smells like there’s been a dead body in the d*mn car!” It turns to this, “There was a bag of pizza for like 12 days in the trunk of the car full of maggots. It stunk so bad, you know how hot it’s been.” Or what about this one, “maybe someone put a dead body in the car at the tow yard.”
Mr Conway, you are poorly informed. Cindy has lied and started covering up evidence from day one. I am tired of your trying to pull of a guilt trip on others when your clients are the biggest liars that have walked the face of this earth, right after their daughter! And let me tell you this, Mr. Conway, your clients would not be in the same boat they are today, had they not changed their stories numerous time.
I am also tired of them blaming everyone else. This is not a doing of Nancy Grace, this is not the doing of the media in Florida, nor the Law Enforcement in Orange county. This is a doing of Cindy and George Anthony! They have raised a royal brat, who has lied and gotten away with it! Had they taught her some responsibility, made her pay for stealing, and held her accountable, they may not be in this situation. Plan and simple, they are NOT the best of parents!
Maybe Mr. Conway, they need to keep their arrogance and ignorance off the TV. People don’t want to hear another lie that comes out of their mouths! Yes, we know they think they are celebrities, but in reality, they are not.
If this was me, and I was in their shoes, which I hope never to be, I wouldn’t be out lying on National TV trying to cover up for my daughter! But, I sure would be supportive of her!

Humble…Great post, I totally agree. I would also support my daughters, but only if they came forth with the whole truth. I would let them know how much I love them and it is unconditional love, but I can’t support them unless they are completely truthful and realize they need to be held accountable for their actions.
You know it would be a lot easier for most of us to feel empathy for the Anthony’s like so many of us did in the very beginning…than what all of their lies and arrogance has caused us to feel disgust or contempt.
If Casey would not have been supported like she was in the beginning with all the lies…I don’t know that she would have taken it this far. But, she had her parents support in the lies and they helped come up with some of those lies…Doing this imo helped encourage and showed Casey to continue with the charade.
I also think if Casey realized just how far her mom would go to protect her family image…she would have taken CIndy to Caylee that night, jmho

That’s what stopped any deals IMO.. It would have involved telling the truth.. And as we know, “the truth and Casey are strangers”. And NOW that Caylee has been found, and the state has all of this evidence, I don’t think a deal will be available for them.. I honestly don’t think the state will offer a plea.. They have enough for a conviction, why would they??
USUALLY, a plea is only offered if they don’t have enough evidence for a conviction otherwise.. Pleaing out, in that case helps them reach the conclusion to the case, in order to solve it for the family of the victims.. In this case however, there is really no need for one.. Although the evidence is circumstantial, the combination of all of the evidence when put together only points to ONE person, and that as we all know is Casey.. I don’t think the state would risk the “bad publicity” that they would get if they offered Casey a plea.. There would be alot of angry people if that were to happen. But this of course is all JMO..
I do think the defense could still ask for a lwop deal from the state and probably get it…
But, I do think with the family supporting the lies from the get-go and Baez wanting his trial…they have all hurt Casey’s chances of ever seeing the light of day and also saving her life. IMO, the jury voting for the dp is likely.

Morning all. I just love these statements put out there that George and Cindy never had a chance to speak privately, alone with Casey to find out exactly what happened and to ask her questions. What a bunch of garbage. Remember, Casey slept on the floor with her parents the first week she was out on bond. Cindy and Casey watched Casey’s favorite tv programs together. They were in that house together that entire first week out, and they never had a chance to ask her any questions? Give me a break. Also, remember in the very beginning, in the jail house visit, Casey says: “Through no fault of mine”, referring to why Zenaida took Caylee. Whose fault, then, Casey?

Yes, Humble, Conway does seem confused on the different meanings of the word “support.” It would be possible for the Anthonys to relationally support their daughter as someone they love AND judicially support the truth at the same time.
Unfortunately, these combined supports would mean accepting and supporting her guilt and loving her through it, and loving her through her sentencing, etc. From all accounts, they don’t want Casey to face what is due her. What kind of love is this? Yet, who wants this kind of pain for their loved one, even if they deserve it? Don’t we all want mercy (off the hook?)
But Cindy and George are keenly aware, because of their professions and intelligence, that courts do not show mercy or much mercy when one is proven guilty. When the evidence is strong and with what they already know about their daughter…they know she is dead meat. So, in order to get her mercy, off the hook, assuage their guilt, keep her alive, and minimal prison time….they forfeit the truth. That is their only option.
Another thing Conway is confused about…or maybe our judicial system MAKES confusing…is the idea of “presumed innocent until proven guilty”

Is Conway saying that “presumed innocence” means throwing out the truth until the jury determines what is truth and what is not?? Yes, that is how our system works. It would be best for his clients and their daughter to keep a blind eye to the truth, and when necessary, merely provide vague answers.
The court system knows that evidence must be proven AND a jury must find guilt. However, it is foolish to think that the State presumes Casey innocent as they spend hours and hours preparing a case to prove otherwise. Presumption is really only a way to preserves Casey’s rights to an extent…keeps her in jail, and fed and watered, until sentencing, but does that mean she’s nuetral or innocent? the facts nuetral? If she was so “innocent” she wouldn’t even be in jail. But this is what Conway would have us to believe.
Does this mean that if the State presents its case and Casey is acquitted or found innocent, that she is indeed innocent?

I believe that George and Cindy’s first reactions were very real. And they knew what happened. And then it sunk in, really, really sunk in, the implications of this. That THEIR daughter is a murderer.
I don’t think they’ve lied to cover for their daughter. I believe it’s their own denial that they raised a murderer. They cannot live with the fact that this happened, so they are ‘making it NOT happen’.
And to do that, they have to backtrack, lie, whatever. They’re human. I hope I wouldn’t react the same way though. I suppose until it’s you that it’s happening to, you really don’t know what you’d do.

Their lies are not helping Casey in any shape or form. They have made themselves look like peons. They don’t have to say that Casey is guilty or innocent, but they need to stop lying for her. Nothing they do, will bring Caylee back. I also feel after the verdict, they will not except it. Hi ya Ideas! No I do not feel for Cindy in that video by the elevator. I was a little confused at why she would hug a wall and not lean on George. I have come to the point where she is out for sympathy. But like Conway has said they can never be prepared for what happened to Caylee. I suggest he get them set up with counseling.
Humble, not even Ann Rule will be writing a book about this case. I was just fooling around, because it seems like everyone is writing a book. Cindy throwing herself against the wall and sort of dragging along it reminded me of one of those old, overly dramatized movies of the 1930′s. Eastcoast, I feel like I am in a virtual tennis match going back and forth between sites. Wish the Judge would release his decisions. I’m getting impatient. Also wish they could slam Casey with the 65 years. What I find confusing is about the 1 year of time served. Is she serving that time for the check fraud or is she serving that time awaiting the murder trial. If it is for the murder trial, then she would still have to serve at least a year for the check fraud. Tell me where my thinking is wrong here.

Great post humble, my thoughts exactly on conway. Ideas(?) post too about the “presumed innocent”. That’s a law to protect the accused rights’ to a fair trial. We the people can think anything we want! If anyone is getting a fair trial, she is, I think overcaution (that’s not a word is it)is making sure of that. Judge stricky is covering everything very carefully so nothing will be refuted later.
As far as Joy W. goes, I can’t believe they are going to put her on the stand with her background! I don’t see that going too well for the defense.

Did anyone else notice Friday while lyon ‘s was holding onto casey’s arm and casey TOLD bozo “make him stop” and bozo said “I can’t” that when bozo leaned towards casey to say something to her that she pulled away from him(noticibly angry) and leaned into the loven arms of lyon’s and started the fake crying. Casey was pi$$ed at bozo for not making him “stop” Bozo forgot that casey is the one “incharge” and she commanded him to do something and he didn’t do it. Bozo them moved the mike out of casey’s reach. I think casey girl is going to totally flip out when this goes to trial. We are going to see all of that anger that “poor little angel Caylee” saw not just the day that she was murdered but for most of her sweet little life.
I do believe that we are all going to see casey’s brain explode at trial. G&C better get used to the grafics.
So sad, so sad. I thank God that Caylee is now in he’s loving arms.

Someone probably approached Wray about a book. There are leaches out there looking for just that kind of thimg. They basically write the book for the individual. Wray has her own juicy angle on this. I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone ends up with a book.

Brad Conway needs to get tested for Alzheimer Disease. A little after Caylee was found Brad Conwaywas asked if his clients thought Casey was guilty. His responce to people magazine and anyone else winning to listen that the Anthony’s didn’t know what to think. When I heard that I was like Thank God these people are finally going to wise up and stop lying and honor Caylee’s memory by acting like human beings and either come clean or shut up. It took them all of about 48 hours to once again change their tune as if Conway never made that statement. I wish someone would make a list of all these statements they flip flop on and call Brad Conway out on the carpet instead of stroking their ego’s with these self serving interviews.
