Well, I thought there would be more to write about todays decisions made by Judge Strickland! There really isn’t! I thought he would have gone into details as to why the denial to the video visits and the double jeopardy motions. And also about the granted protective order to Joe Jordan was granted! But if you read the Judge rulings you will see they are blunt and to the point! He really gives no explanation on them!
So with that said, I guess Brad Conways thoughts that the judge would grant the Anthony’s the destroying the video’s was wrong, and they will NOT be visiting their daughter in jail! Oh well, I am sure we will hear about them not visiting her because of the video-taping, and people picking the brat apart, forever! And like always it will be everyone’s fault. Needless to say, it is their decision if they go or not!

Well, all we have left to rule on is the DP. Even being as unbiased in opinion as I can, I cannot see JS ruling against the DP, although any motion like that deserves a great deal of due diligence. I figure he just wanted to dispose of the meaningless motions and work on the big one. My thoughts are that JS could hardly strike down the state’s ambition to seek the DP without seeing the entire argument. The argument by the state that it had the better case with the body is sound. Personally, given current discovery, I would be very apprehensive to put someone to death as a juror//

Chlry, I’ve often wondered the same thing. I think she either told him or he stopped her just before she did. chlry – I do agree that the circumstances of the discovery of the body would lead anyone to want the DP for her. For me, there is NO doubt that she is criminally responsible for the death of her daughter. There is no doubt in my mind that Caylee died at the hand of her mother. As I reluctantly peer into the motive and the thought processes of Casey, I do see the potential that she could have applied the tape post-mortem as to look as though someone else was responsible. That is the one doubt in my mind and it is a significant gap.. I understand discovered motive, however I don’t see it being iron clad. That’s an opinion that I have and I am not completely against the DP, but there is no taking back DP once executed. There are other cases that are grossly cut and dried that deserve it to lessen the burden on society.

Colhere the only problem I have with the dp is the possibility of an accident. The thirty one days and lack of remorse, and the hiding of so much makes me doubt an accident. I can’t see her taping up just some of the child’s orifaces to keep and fluids from escaping.
Chrly, if Cindy botched things like she always does, she could have planted stuff to point to someone else. There are so many twists and turns, nothing is concrete- at least not till trial.

Chlry – I do believe that Caylee was likely sedated with Chloroform.. yep.. At first, I thought the gatorade bottle and syringe were irrelevant, then analysis showed chloroform and I did an about face and was chanting DP! Then of course, it was noted that the level of chloroform was probably less than what comes out of my tap.. I don’t subscribe to any strange theories.. she killed her daughter, likely shortly before the Blockbuster vid. She dumped her body later after driving around with her in the trunk for a while.. that is uncontestable.. Kronk was an ambitious body hunter that got lucky and was rightfully suspicious of police apathy..

Humbleopinion, I read on one of the Fla. News Outlets, I think it was WESH, that Judge HAS NOT ruled on the visitation videos “being released.”
The article said there were two rulings outstanding, one for the “death penalty” & one for the “visitation.”
The DP, imo, will remain in play as there is NO LEGAL argument that can stand against it because the STATE meets their burden on that motion. BUT, I am worried he is considering allowing the VIDEOS NOT to be released so the family will visit all the time.

They are one in the same motion. He has not gone into detail, so it does not mean that the video’s will not be released. There was no specific motion for the release of the video’s it was all in one. The videos become public record and are available to the public.
As for the visitation, they have not ruled on the Attorney/Client motion.
