Have a Safe and Happy Christmas Eve!

Please lets remember our Military at this time as they defend our country and are away from home!

And lets not forget Caylee!  She would have been 4 year old for this Christmas!

Good morning all. Yeah. It’s Christmas eve tonight. I love it, love it, love it. BRB, have to make coffee.

Guess everyone’s sleeping in this morning, including my family. I’ll come back later. For all of you whom I might miss today, my most sincere wishes to all of you for a happy Christmas. Enjoy these wonderful days.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

David’s son has been handed over and they will be on their way back to the states.
The way the Brazilian family handed Sean over is a perfect example of family not loving and putting their child first, but instead putting their own needs first.

I have a list of people I know, all logged in my computer,
And now at Christmas time I have gone to take a look.
And that is when I realize that these names are a part,
Not of the computer they’re stored in, but of my heart.

For each name stands for someone who has crossed my path some how,
And in that meeting they’ve become the rhythm in each rhyme.
And while it sounds fantastic for me to make this claim,
I feel that I’m composed of each remembered name.

And whether I have known you for many years or few,
In some way you have been a part of shaping things I do.
And now that Christmas has come, I realize anew,
The best gift life can offer is having friends like you.

GM & afternoon to everyone! Just another poem from me to you: Sorry, but that’s what I do! :w00t:

Christmas shopping for presents, getting stuck in line
We all love the season but we sometimes lose our minds
Rushing around to beat the clock until our feet are sore
Then hurry home to rest a bit & hurry out for more!

Decorating the Christmas tree with things you’ve had forever
Ones the kids made years ago, still a favorite & the most cleaver!
Checking bulbs on each string, you swear you got it right!
But when you plug them in, some of them won’t light!

You have plenty of wrapping paper, ribbon, bows & tags
But ran out of tape so go with those bright colored bags
Cookies are baked & placed with candies in “wonderland” tins
Stockings are filled with goodies & unexpected things!

It’s finally Christmas Eve & the last gift is beneath the tree
Just when you call time out, in comes company!
You’d rather call it a day & give a time just for you
But you just keep on “ticking” because it’s what you do!
    By MVW-Scrama 24DEC’09

Can’t believe I finally got everything done & now it’s time for me
but only after I enjoy my son & grandson’s company!
so again.. wishing you all the best & most joyous Christmas ever! Play nice & stay safe because there are actually people who love  you! :kissing:

Merry Christmas all you ppl! Sorry, I haven’t been on for a while.. snowboard trip with my son for the past few days, but now I am back in civilization!

@savannahsnanny – Re: Healthcare bill. I am in Canada, and while the media there portrays our healthcare as substandard, it’s far from it. It met the same resistance when Tommy Douglas introduced it here, but now it’s a sacred cow. The worst thing about it is that it is expensive and likely cannot coexist with US military spending policies, certainly in this economy.. while it is a good thing, it’s bad timing.

On topic, I will even go as far to wish the A’s a good Christmas. As they look around their home and at themselves.. the deafening quiet in contrast to the time when their granddaughter gave them much joy, that they only have one person to blame for it.

  31. azrenee on 24 December 2009 at 17:46

I wish the Anthonys a peaceful Holiday as well, time for contemplation, revelation, and ultimately salvation…Im happy you got wanted snow Steph! We will go North an hour on friday, predicted snow fall then.

  32. gigwails on 24 December 2009 at 18:30

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! I think back on G&C getting “re-baptized.” That’s kinda like rewrapping the same fruitcake…

  33. Gap on 24 December 2009 at 18:53

Merry Christmas to a wonderful bunch of people!

  34. blessedknox on 24 December 2009 at 18:59

gigwails: I do not think anyone could say it better than you did!

You can be baptized so many times that you know all the minnows in the lake on a first name basis; but, if you do not have a change of heart brought through a personal relationship with Christ Jessus — being immersed in water or sprinkled means NOTHING.

Yes, so sad but true: like rewrapping the same fruitcake…

  35. Molly on 24 December 2009 at 21:22

FU – Loved that poem!! thank you!

Steph – I’m glad you got a Christmas treat of snow! We still have snow on the ground here, it fits into the nostalgia of a white Christmas. enjoy!

    It’s just after 12:00 now. . . . .

Deb in WV, I’m so glad to see your power is back. My cousin is there working on the lines and I prayed for him today and prayed that you would get your power back soon. I’m glad you will be celebrating Christmas even if it’s a little late. My cousin’s family is waiting to celebrate too until he comes home.

Humble, thanks for all you do! I love having a safe place to come to and express my opinion. Even tho I’m sure everyone doesn’t always agree with me, I feel that they respect it anyway. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

To all my Humble co-bloggers…Merry Christmas to you and your families.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas full of family, fun and love.

Merry Christmas precious baby Caylee!! There are so many people that love you and we WILL see justice!!
