And from our house to yours. It is 4:30 a.m., everyone is nestled all snug in their beds, and somehow Santa came and filled the stockings, and I never heard him. NORAD is just now in Nome Alaska (thanks for that link Humble, it was fun to check in on during the night). We had our feast of the seven fishes last night. It was quite a logistic nightmare for me to get everything ready at the same time. Next year, it shall be the feast of the “one” fish. This morning is presents, with me in and out of the kitchen getting the turkey dinner ready for 12 people. It has just started raining here in Sarasota (I like to think of it as liquid snow). Doesn’t matter–Christmas day is an indoor activity. I can hardly wait for my 2 1/2 yr. old grandson to see what Santa has left him. It has been years since we have had a toddler at Christmas time. They are so funny to watch. Just saw on my other monitor that Santa is now in Hilo, Hawaii. I won’t have time for a nap today, so I think it is going to be a marathon for me to survive until late this evening. I hope you are all having as nice a Christmas as we are. Everyone together, the lovely chaos and noise, no wonder I love Christmas. Have fun everyone with your Christmas day. I will sneak in here from time to time to have a smoke away from everyone.

can’t believe I haven’t slept since Tuesday besides little catnaps here & there.. my “baby” son & grandson were here last eve & had such a great time & then finished wrapping..
it’s 5am here in PA & we start our day out with 1pm dinner & presents at dbf’s parents I get so silly when tired too so hope I can hold it all together!
then I have to stay awake for late dinner with my boys & dil.. ‘ham sandwiches, shells & chse, veggies&dip, snacks, pies & cookies, cookies, cookies
maybe I can nap here soon but I know if I do I won’t want to wake up! I seriously don’t know what to do :sideways:
dbf is still up but he slept last night! What is it about us moms anyway, I think God blessed us with a built in battery charger or sumpin” :lol::lol:

My husband, as he dragged himself to bed yesterday evening, said he couldn’t understand how I can still be active after so many hours. He wanted to know where the energy comes from. You got it right, built in battery. It is definitely a “mom” thing. Comes with the hormones.
Good morning everyone, just stopped by to say Merry Chistmas. Even though my kids are all grown, its still exiting to watch them open presents. Scrama and Mue….im on real quick, getting ready for a mexican breakfast here.My husband has made his italian sauce/gravy with meatballs and sausage for dinner later (stuffed manicotti) We are also having ham,corn casserole and twice baked potatos.Everyones food sounds delightful!!We are having an even ten for dinner, appetizers at three.Once again, everyone have a wonderful day, blessings to all….
