RECAP: Jose Baez said that it was “outrageous and cruel” for officials to videotape their client’s reaction to news that a child’s body was found near her home. “Let’s face it, there is nothing ‘normal’ about anyone’s reaction to losing a child,” Anthony’s defense attorneys said in a statement. “Everyone handles personal tragedy in an individual way.”
Anthony doubled over twice and appeared to hyperventilate, according to the source who has seen the tape. Investigators said the tape shows Anthony’s consciousness of guilt, because it was days before the remains were identified as her daughter Caylee.
Wait a minute, how did she know it was her own child. According to Casey, she gave her child to the unfindable nanny and her sisters. WAIT a minute did the answer “She is close to Hope/home” mean that she knew exactly where Caylee was and that she just didn’t want to spend the rest of her life in prison? Yea to bad your caught Casey!!

There was nothing cruel about it. People in jail are taped. They can tape you pinching a loaf if they want to. What is it with the entitlement mentality of these idiots?? They think they can demand jail policy be changed for Casey – no videotaping, they want a big room with no guards and no video (gee, THAT doesn’t seem suspicious), Andrea Sea Hag Lyon tried to get the judge to rule the death penalty unconstitutional for God’s sake. Hi Justme…That sure would be nice. All I know is they said or Conway did that they were looking for an attorney to maybe work pro-bono. Maybe a book/movie deal in the end. The fact is none of these attorneys can get a book/movie deal on the end unless she is found not guilty. You know that isn’t going to happen. If they did some kind of deal…they would all be in trouble. BS had explained it long ago, but it is almost something like not holding onto that privilege you obligate yourself with or something.

Eyewitness News was told the Anthonys and their lawyer, Brad Conway, were looking for a lawyer to represent Casey who was willing to forego getting money upfront. Longtime Orlando attorney Robert Buonauro told Eyewitness News on Wednesday the Anthonys and Conway wanted to replace Casey’s defense attorney, Jose Baez, early on in the case.
Buonauro says Conway said Casey and her family were broke and, if he were willing to do without money upfront, there was the possibility of some sort of defense fund or book or movie rights down the road. Buonauro said no.
Well that is tough they are broke…Maybe they should go out and get jobs like everyone else. Not only that all they have to do is tell the judge Casey is (can’t remember the word for no money) and the courts will help pay.

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer says a stronger indication that defense finances are in trouble is the fact that the defense has not really even begun to depose major witnesses in the death penalty case. He says depositions are labor intensive and expensive.
“There’s too much on the line to pick and choose which depositions of the individuals you want to take,” Sheaffer said.

It may be that Steph… In addition to the fact that a “Free Lawyer” doesn’t have the best record in town… In most cases anyway… He/she doesn’t seem to have the resources needed for “expert” witnesses, due to everything having to be approved by the state. (Since they’ll be the ones paying the lawyer when all is said and done)..
So in a round about way, she’d be represented by a STATE lawyer… The way I understand it… And we all know, the state are a bunch of crooks, according to the Anthony’s… *L*
Their finances SHOULDN’T have any effect on Casey’s status, I wouldn’t think anyway.. Casey is over 18, and although living in their house, is still an adult who was capable of making her own living… Now I’m not 110% sure on all of this, but that’s the way I understand it..
It is still amazing to me that George can compare Casey holding back about what happened to Caylee…to something like maybe he was dating a girl and didn’t tell his parents….I am just curious what normal life lesson Casey murdering Caylee is??
I am 110% sure you are right, lol. This has been a question for a long time…when are they going to and why not declare her indigent. I think she will still be able to use a lot of who and what she has…At least with her defense team, but not sure on the experts.

steph , how can she claim being indigent when she did have financial support from her family ? there is no proof anywhere that she was out job hunting at all , she had a roof over her head , a warm bed to sleep in , clothes , shoes , sunglasses , a crap load of things . she had a car her parents owned , she was taken care of pretty well in that house of horror . i wonder why she never applied for welfare , she could have gotten help that way .
