HOUSTON — An Amber Alert has been canceled by Houston police for 6-year-old Kevin Williams. Police said a driver lied to police when he told them that his nephew had been kidnapped. The man had hoped that the lie would get his stolen car back faster.

The man told police that the boy was abducted at 4:15 a.m. Sunday when the car was carjacked at a Walgreens store in the 7700 block of Bellaire Boulevard in Houston.
