So the duh-team could get the money, but if she has any money coming in from licensing fees, books, etc….she will stop collecting. If they don’t get the money and give her a public defender, a higher court could come in and over turn the verdict.
Might I add that this is not the first case in FL that money to the d-team has happened too! Guess the people of FL need to look into their laws!

I wish Bill would address that again about a book/movie deal with Baez. When Casey is found guilty he CAN’T do either of these things or he could be in lots of trouble. It is something to do with the appeals and so on. But, Baez is such a dumb arse I think he thought long ago he was going to get her off.

That Prius was all over the news here yesterday Steph! And yes, it was scary, but he didn’t turn off the car or try anything except the brakes! I would have been trying many things to stop!

I think he did try neutral…the 911 operator told him to and he said it wouldn’t go. But, I thought your car goes into neutral no mater what?
It does. I don’t remember him saying that yesterday on the news conference here. The one with the guy in the back of the car wasn’t on yesterday…he was actually standing outside the car yesterday!
I don’t know…the LE officer said when he pulled up beside him he had both hands on the wheel and he could tell he was raised in the air putting both feet on the brakes. He also had taken his car in before this and they told him his car wasn’t part of the recall.
I do know he tried the emergency brake!
I can’t remember if I heard it on the tape or what…It was on the Today show yesterday…let me go get it. At least that is where I think I heard it.

I think the dispatch said to shut it off. It was just a mess, he took the car to the deal with a recall, they handed it back and said his car wasn’t on the list! He left. Then this happened. NOT in the same day, but he did attempt to get it fixed. I guess if you get a recall in the mail, your car is on the list, why else send it to the owner of the car!
It started an immediate recall on the car!

Nobody including the experts on the defense can do this if found guilty. If they do write a book/movie they can be in lots of trouble. If found innocent they can do all they want, but we know that isn’t going to happen

I think it’s very telling that payment for him was left out of it as they are claiming she is so broke, dp case, etc. Plus if he doesn’t ask for fees from the state she can still have him as a lawyer & not be forced to have a court appointed one.

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer predicted the defense will have trouble trying to keep Cindy Anthony’s 911 call out of the murder trial. It’s the call in which Cindy, Casey’s mother, said it smelled like a dead body was in Casey’s car. Sheaffer said the call could come into evidence if Cindy testifies that the car smelled like rotting pizza.
Sheaffer also predicted that photos of Casey Anthony partying after Caylee’s disappearance will prbably be part of the trial. “It shows her [Casey's] state of mind,” he said.
A hearing next Thursday will determine if Anthony is indigent, WFTV reported

Molly, I read the other day that Floridians are divided regarding Casey’s right to a fair trial and wasting their money. When JH went to the memorial last June, she said that many didn’t want to hear ANYTHING about the case and they were sick of it. People need to start writing letters stating their feelings about the matter.

Meanwhile, prosecutors have about two weeks to decide whether they’ll share new evidence with the defense or ask a judge to keep it sealed a little longer. Last month, the judge allowed prosecutors to keep information, which could be damaging to Casey, secret for 30 days.
Also, another 1,000 pages of evidence are expected to be released soon.

She had a car that she owned with a death smell in it, and already blabbed at work and knew that Simon Birch could also report it if he chose to. She was simply covering her own *ss.

deb – that IS the really big question isn’t it? she KNEW that smell, who on earth did she think had been in the car? she knew it wasn’t casey cuz she had talked to her after the date of the car being towed. the alarm went off for her immmediately about caylee, she couldn’t get hold of casey so then she cleaned the car!!! No I don’t think it’s in ZFG’s lawsuit Molly, but I had the impression that because Casey lived at home, the homeowner could be held responsible for upcoming suits.
From what i see, BillS’s blog had a response about the homeowners insurance. I think that is where it came from…can’t find it on this site!
