I am trying to sort through all the comments this afternoon. What I have come up with is MD is going to buy a gun, and he is going to drive to the State Attorneys Office to see Mr. Lamar. Is it in that order? This is getting so stupid. I think he might have had a nervous collapse. I know if I were in his shoes right now, I would have one. On a nice note, no one, and I mean no one should be in a position to be so fearful that they must resort to buying a gun for protection. That is just not right. Negative comments don’t kill. Threats are just beyond the pale. That should not happen no matter how much we may dislike or disagree with anyone on any blog. As much as I dislike the man, I can’t help but feel sorry that he is in such fear, that he must resort to buy a gun.

Sheaffer said Strickland had three options. Two of them meant stepping down.
Strickland granted the defense motion and recused himself. That was option one.
“The judge could deny the motion and, in the interest of justice and fairness, request that the case be reassigned to another judge,” Sheaffer said, explaining option two.
For option three, Sheaffer said, Strickland could have decided to keep the case and the defense could have appealed the issue, by a way of “writ of prohibition” to the 5th District Court of Appeals, which would bring the case to a halt for months.

Mikka, Judge Strickland’s remarks were very profound and he did write some memorable words. He did it with class yet he didn’t let some past events go unnoticed. It’s just such a shame it came to this.

He rarely spoke about Caylee or her devastating demise, but only whined that the poor, poor, Anthonys were getting a raw deal. It seems to me that EVERYONE (family included) who has personally inserted themselves into this case has knowingly profitted off this baby girl and the only ones who got a raw deal were Caylee and Judge Strickland.

It is hard to worry about getting a “fair” trial when you are quilty of murder WTH!
The dufense is stupid – as Judge Strickland said, “the irony is rich”. He was/is fair…but he could no longer be effective as he said.
When I say my prayers tonight, it will be that the Judge Perry is one hard Judge who can and should be fair, goes by the book – but puts up with no BS from the dufense!
