ORLANDO, Fla. –Attorneys for Casey Anthony filed a new list of witnesses on Thursday who will testify on behalf of her defense.
Four of the eight names on the list are expert witnesses. The defense team wanted to include more experts, but Judge Belvin Perry denied the use of more tax money to pay for them.
The witness list includes a plant expert from Colorado, Dr. Jane Bock, and an insect expert from Nebraska, Dr. Timothy Huntington. A Canadian forensic anthropologist is also included, as well as Florida International University professor Dr. Ken Furton. They are expected to challenge tests on the air in Casey’s car. More>>>
Hi Humble and All. Rats, I just posted at the last thread and then poof! Could someone be a peach and bring my comment over here or should I repost it?

Okay, I’m back. Sorry for the Blog-by.
WESH only had a partial listing of the Defense Expert Witnesses, so I had to go out and round them up.

The latest hired experts for the defense are no strangers to the courtroom.
Dr. Jane Bock has analyzed plants and other evidence for criminal investigations for years. According to her web page, for nearly 30 years she has worked on developing the use of plant cells in the gastrointestinal tract to aid in homicide investigations.
Dr. Timothy Huntington has consulted on more than 50 death investigations. The forensic entomologist was one of the experts waiting to get access to where Caylee’s remains were found in December 2008. He studies insects to help establish a time of death.
Dr. Scott Fairgrieve is a forensic anthropologist. He’s expertise is the use of cadaver dogs. He’s likely consulted with the search, recovery, and analysis of Caylee’s skeletal remains.
Dr. Kenneth Furton, the only Florida expert listed, will likely testify in the areas of drug analysis and dogs detecting chemicals.

Here’s more on tomorrow’s court date:
Casey Anthony and her lawyers will be back in court Friday to argue about who will watch defense experts as they review evidence in the case.
The hearing is in response to a motion filed Thursday by attorney Jose Baez, who said the defense team has several experts “from all parts of the world” lined up to review evidence in the first-degree murder case.
That evidence is currently in possession of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and the state wants agency officials present during the defense’s inspection, Baez wrote.
Baez said it’s critical that the defense team and experts be able to consult each other during the evidence inspection without sheriff’s officials present.
Having sheriff’s officials there “would unfairly subject statements made between counsel and the expert witnesses to discovery, creating an unfair prejudice against the Defendant in her preparation for trial,” Baez stated.
The experts are slated to inspect the evidence July 13 and July 14. Those are the only days all experts could meet with the defense attorneys.
The experts and attorneys will test, copy and photograph the evidence.
Baez is asking for Perry to appoint a special magistrate to be present during the inspection.
Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry will hear the arguments at 1:30 p.m., a court spokeswoman said Thursday afternoon.
Hi again smoke and All. What does dufus need a magistrate for? To hold his hand and lead him to the evidence?
YEA!!! We get to see little miss toofless!!! What a great way to kick off the holiday weekend! Smile for the cameras biatch!

Hi Carol, YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! we get to see the toothless ho! I gotta set my DVR!!!
Just saw a post by someone saying that this is the prosecutions evidence, and they have every right to protect it. Also, it is being reported that Cindy and George Marie are on the defense witness list. I thought they were already on the prosecution’s list. Can you be a witness for both? Also, why the sudden rush here. What exactly is the emergency. I guess it is my fault for asking has anyone seen or heard from Linda Baden recently. She’s back. Wonder for how long. The media said that Biaz said he has experts from around the world. Guess Canada is around the world.
Hi Michelle. Isn’t Bozo just a goof, really? He can bring in experts from the other side of the moon if he wants, it still won’t change the outcome. What does he plan on stealing or altering some of the evidence, so he doesn’t want the sherrif there?
Boy, I hope some of his experts are alot more interesting than that woman from AZ. that Lyon was questioning. Yea, she never had any of her writings published or wrote any books, but, she did stay at a Holidy Inn the night before. HA!
Muesli, if they are on the states witness list, they can NOT be on the defense’s list.
Anyone watching JVM? I don’t watch it, but decided to today.
The lady caller…did you see Kyrons step-mom, she did this that and the other thing and looked crossed eyed…exaggerated with the cross eyes, but says this proves GUILT! hahahahaha…wonder if she know’s Cindy Anthony?
Hi Chachi and Muesli. Who does bozo think he is demanding an emergency hearing? Blah, blah, blah. Whopee, he’s back from vacation and all jacked up. Like he is in some kind of rush NOW?
Muesli, LKB is still busy looking for her comb that fell down her cleavage years ago.
Muesli, I have not seen a defense witness list, and do not believe they are on it. Where are you seeing the defense list?
Carol…gosh she could have at least one hearing with a cracked toof!
Molly on 1 July 2010 at 16:39
and what happens if his experts get in there & say yes those plants have been growing thru the remains for 6 months! hahahahha beaz doesn’t want LE or the prosecution to hear him asking questions about doubt or to tip them off to their defense “strategy” (if he’s got one).
Whew, I still have my sanity. It’s incredible how there is almost not a day or week that goes by without some “bombshell”. No wonder we all suffer withdrawal during a lull. When this case is over, we are all going to have to go for a group intervention. Maybe they’ll spotlight us on TV Discovery Health.
OK, I am confused now, why won’t Kyron’s family give the K-9 a piece of his clothing? interesting!
caroly on 1 July 2010 at 21:05
humble – I don’t know about Florida but there have been cases on court tv when the judge has said that the defense cannot ask a question on cross but can call the witness himself and ask it on direct.
smoke – your first link today went to an article where an attorney said that this had always been a very simple case. That is what we’ve also said.
muesli – have they really fixed the tooof already?
everybody – why do they have expert on plants in gastrointestinal tracts. Caylee did not have an intestinal tract at the time they found her. Weird. Wouldn’t impress me if I were a juror.
And as for Canada being all around the world – I always thought we were right here on top of the USA, with the longest undefended border in the world, like good neighbours should have.
caroly on 1 July 2010 at 21:06
humble I do not understand why the father will not give them a piece of Kyron’s clothing. That too is weird. Perhaps he only thinks dogs look for dead children and he can’t face that.
caroly on 1 July 2010 at 21:09
I do not think that the defense should be allowed to handle the evidence in the absence of the prosecution. I don’t trust them one bit.
I wonder how Ms Caylee is feeling now that she realizes all those supposedly supportive lawyers were just in it for the money.

Hi All,
Anybody know if the state can introduce the shame Dr Lee brought on himself and his profession the last time he and LKB collaborated on tampering with evidence together on the first Spector trial??
I wouldn’t let either of these 2 near the evidence without armed guards and a strip search afterwards. Hope the judge won’t either.
On a lighter note. Imagine Cheney examining Dr Lee. We’ll need subtitles to understand them.
caroly on 1 July 2010 at 22:50
I have the same concerns Karn. The fact that experts will lie on the stand was amply demonstrated for a second time in the second Spector trial when the expert tried to claim he had prepared something for education purposes only and it was proved it was done at the time of the testing. The evidence totally convicted Spector and the expert was just going to leave it out. He accidentally sent a copy to the prosecution. There should be some checks and balances on defense experts too if we are asked to believe them.

Do you think the murderer will show up wearing her flag dress in honor of the Fourth of July? She’s awesome and so original- not.
I wish they hadn’t fixed her toof so quickly. I still don’t know which one it was.
Muesli, the fixed it, really? Rats, I wanted to see the large gap crevice. How do you know they fixed it? Did they call in a cement truck or what?

Thanks Ok, muesli, I believe you. Humble done painting every inch of your house?
This is where I read about the A’s being defense witnesses here:
http://www.wftv.com/news/24114206/detail.html
Glad I found it. Thought I was going crazy.
Muesli, I contact WFTV to see if this is true or typo. I hope they respond as they are the only one’s who have it on their site!
