TUE, May 6, 2008 – Casey had planned to go to a Radiohead concert in Tampa, FL with Ricardo M. and Troy B., but she did not. Her excuse was car trouble as shown in the text message below:
12:24:43 p.m. Casey texted Amy: “Oh. Haha. It [car] wouldn’t turn on. My transmission was dead. I’m out almost 500 to get it replaced. That’s over 1300 in a month! I’m so mad” [LIE]
During an IM conversation between Casey and Anthony R., Casey refers to Caylee as “the little snothead” and she also mentions “Zanny.” [discovery doc p. 597]
THU, May 8, 2008 – Casey stays with Ricardo M. She tells Amy H. “it was best s*x” she ever had.
FRI, May 9, 2008 – Casey meets Chris S. for wings and may have spent the night with him.
SAT, May 10, 2008 – Casey tells Amy H. that she’s staying home and starting her Mother’s Day early.
Chris S. was out with friends when Casey dropped by his parents’ home. She spent a couple of hours talking with them. When Chris S. came home, he and Casey decided to go out.
SUN, May 11, 2008– Casey and Caylee spend MOTHER’S DAY! with Chris S. and family.
TUE, May 13, 2008 – Casey mentions Cindy is taking “the kid” for the weekend.

Wow, this woman can lie. I was reading through the timeline, and when I came to Mon., May 19, a casual thought came into mind when reading “06:05:52 p.m. Casey texted Amy: “Well there suppose to make it in writing tomarrow, but nothings official until its written, if so the tentative move in date would be june 18th.”". I thought, oh well, seems Caylee’s demise was planned well in advance, and probably she was planning on doing away with her parents. What? Of course, she was going to murder her parents. In her sick, fantasy world, this house would belong to her. She texted Amy about her grandparent’s having an offer on the house. That confuses me. I always thought she was talking about the house on Hopespring drive, which she and Amy were going to move into. Also, isn’t it a coincidence that Casey was going to charge Amy $400 a month to share the house? That’s the amount of money Amy lost “sleep walking”, as she was told by Casey. Remember, there is always a bit of truth in all of Casey’s lies.
By the way, thanks again, Smoke&Mirrors. You make sleuthing so easy. Cindy always knew when Casey was lying. I can never comprehend why Cindy let it go on and on. What is the hold Casey has on her parents. Why are they afraid of her. Did she, perhaps, sometime in the past threaten them with harm to Caylee, or to themselves. I believe they knew her temper and her rages. I believe Casey would go out of control with her rages. That is why I firmly believe she murdered Caylee during the night of June 15 to 16, while still in a rage mode. I don’t believe George’s story of seeing them on the morning of June 16. He has changed and embellished that story one time too many.
How on earth do these people keep up with their lies. The odd time I have told an “un-truth” about why I couldn’t attend a function or play a game of golf, I was always nervous that I would not remember the “un-truth”, and give myself away. I guess that is called a conscience. To all my friends, sorry about that.
muesli….its like your reading my mind….another thing I noticed Casey was not in attendance on Mothers Day or Sindy’s birthday on June 5th…and the call to RyanP on May 27th..so something was really brewing between the two before June 15th…I too am confused on the grandparents house…
I still don’t understand why the Anthonys did not give Caylee a proper burial. That’s the least they could have done for this precious baby. Think about it. They are carrying around the remains of Caylee to all those court hearings, with all the crap going on in the courtroom around them. How disrespectful.

Why on earth would someone steal Caylee’s remains? Elvis, Michael, presidents, famous movie stars, dignitaries the world over are not tampered with. Cindy certainly has delusions of grandeur about herself and her family. If she was afraid of losing money, she could have had Caylee buried in a private, fenced off area and charged admission. Wouldn’t put it past her.

I think we have all been waiting a long time to see Sindy squirm on the stand. I for one will not miss it. I have a heavy work load that day but I am going to still watch it. Remember, even George said that Casey doesn’t plan beyond the day. She probably didn’t even have a plan for disposal. Oh, well, I am going beyond silly. Notice how the Prosecution’s argument is framed with background information surrounding the 911 calls. They also include case law to show exceptions to the hearsay rule. Now that, IMO is good Lawyering!
On the other hand, Attys. Baez and Mason seem to be too narrowly focused on what Cindy said, “There’s something wrong, it smells like there’s been a dead body in the damn car,” how much time expired from the time she made the comment to her co-workers vs. when she made the 3rd call to 911 and her motive for saying (fabricating) the story, the car smelled “…like a dead body in the damn car”.

YW! It’s all about connecting the dots. Even though we do not have all of the answers, I believe that if you can take the time to review some of what we know via the timelines from May 2008 up to 15 July 2008 it will give us a better idea of where the Prosecution is headed with their case-in-chief.
Some ppl. believe Casey was a “live in the moment” kind of gal, but if you review some of her activities in a chronological manner (yep, including the lies she told ppl., especially Cindy) you may conclude that Caylee’s death was PREMEDITATED.
Yep. I always thought it was premeditated. Look at the stuff she was googling! Poor little Caylee. Breaks my heart she never stood a chance with that so called family!
Even though we have a good laugh at the Ants expense we have to remember that poor little soul. Never had any friends her own age. No playgroup for Caylee. Thanks smoke. I have read these motions and responses before, but it doesn’t hurt to review from time to time. Reading Cindy’s interrogation by LE on July 29, was interesting this time around. I hadn’t picked up on Cindy’s extraordinary concern that LE know that she does not beat her children, nor does she yell at them. Cindy repeated this a couple of times. This seemed more important to her at that time then the fact that her daughter “misplaced” Caylee. The woman needs help. I believe she needed help (mental) before she even became aware of all of this. Casey has done what she set out to do. This family is destroyed.

ITA, the Prosecutors have pieced together the key events of Casey’s timeline. It’s interesting to note that early on when Atty. Lyon joined the Defense Team, she stated in order to get familiar with the case, one of the first things she would do was list all of the potential witnesses (now up to approx 326 on the Prosecution’s list) in alphabetical order. Then she would review the timeline of events. Maybe she should have passed that information along to Atty. Cheney.
Based on his reputation, I am still puzzled as to why it appears Atty. Cheney has not taken the time to familiarize himself with the case against Casey. It leads me to believe there is something else in play here. IDK.
Hi Muesli. I feel that the a clan will be dealt with during the trail. There is no way that they can get on the stand and stick with the stories that they’ve been spinng. cma doesn’t have to take the stand, so she can keep her lies from coming out of her mouth during trail. She doesn’t have to face the prosecutors in front of the jury, but the a clan will. They will be ripped to shreds on the stand. There’s no way to lie on the stand without that happening with all that is known in this case. I almost feel sorry for them. NOT

I find the same thing in terms of seeing something in the discovery docs upon revisiting them that I didn’t recall seeing before or I just simply forgot.
It does help me anyway to take a 10,000 foot view of this case sometimes because if I only follow the headline news without recalling what else was going on during the same period, I end up with more questions then answers.
We are hearing the phrase regarding this case “the totality of the evidence” more and more. Don’t know if we are going to see a “smoking gun” piece of evidence. It’s more like a spray of bullets. JMO

The thing with the issue of the admissibility of the 911 calls is it appears LDB called it right when she told Atty. Mason the Defense misunderstood the Prosecution’s argument.
If Cindy is doing her “homework” by practicing her lines about why she made the comment about how the car smelled and how much time elapsed between talking with her co-workers and the time she made the 3rd call to 911, she will be shocked to learned that is NOT what the Prosecution is going to be grilling her about.
BTW, I think Cindy, even in her most delusional state of mind, will not act like she did at the M&M Depo. The Ants did not take that one seriously… thought it was “frivilous” and thought it would be quickly dismissed. Well, wrong again! It was postponed, but it’s still hanging over their heads.

LDB and Ashton have this all wrapped up in a very neat package so far. There is nothing to argue about from the defense, they are done.

another little self-observation I have is… The disposal site being so close to the Anthony home… Isn’t that just so “Casey”??? She’s so lazy she wont get a job, she’d much rather steal. and she’s also so lazy that she wouldn’t bother to take “the remains” a long way away from the house and dispose of Caylee so it would be much harder to find her… No, she just drove right around the corner and put her in a Target laundry bag in a spot the kids played all their lives… How could a defense team debunk that one???
another one of my observations… I’ve been a registered nurse for many years and it’s my job to assess people… If you look at the many photos released by the Anthonys, you can pretty much surmise who’s behind the camera… Not all, but most. Notice when Cindy is taking the picture example the Mt.Dora nursing home video, Caylee is relaxed, happy, smiling. Notice Caylee in the pool with Cindy, again very happy. Caylee sitting between Cindy & George, again very happy… But look at the photos where Caylee is with Casey alone… like in that picture at an apartment (Caylee is wearing a army cap) and Casey is holding her in a bikini… Look at that picture! Caylee is so depressed and extremely unhappy. Notice the photo in the car seat with Mama, Caylee’s looking at Casey as if to say, “What the )@#) is wrong with you?” and then the awful photo when they’re at Tony L’s apartment and Caylee has that black bump next to her eye. Then take a look at the video of them when Casey is bouncing Caylee on top of her and blowing into her stomach making that noise, Caylee likes it for a while and then she pushes Casey away like she’s a stranger. Cindy said somewhere that Casey took the baby away to “bond” with her. That leads me to believe there wasn’t any bond…. And one of the worst photos they were walking in a vacant lot, Caylee with a football.. Caylee has a horrible look on her face like Casey was taking her off somewhere to kill her. Even animals know where there is a potential threat, Caylee knew that Casey was a threat to her, even at that tender age…

After rereading Flea’s depo and the role playing of he being the cop, how bizarre is that? He said she could understand then. ?? I guess the code talking is the way that freak family communicates. She answered, “I don’t want to wake her up, she’s used to where she’s at. I’m not going to bring her home.” Wow.
Just quickly Carol. Cindy cannot take the “fifth”, as she hasn’t been accused of anything. She is not on trial. The only fifth at her disposal is at her house.
And, Carol, that comment that she is asleep and Casey doesn’t want to wake her. How does she know that? How does she know Caylee is used to where she’s at? Didn’t Cindy demand to know the answers to anything Casey claimed. That answer was so obviously stupid and untrue. You see how, when we review old docs ,how much more sense they make today. I think the big hold that Crazey had on her parents was her rages and temper. G&C being such the civilized creatures that they are never raised their voices or hit their kids as Spindy mentioned a few times. When Crazey would throw a fit, Cindy couldn’t grasp the reality of it and couldn’t comprehend first, what the heck she was saying and secondly, why anyone would doubt her judgement and betray her way and wishes. It did not compute and still doesn’t.
Carol, I checked yesterday, looking for your message, but couldn’t find it. Cindy will only be able to use the “I don’t recall” so many times. Mr. Ashton and Mrs. Burdick will most certainly have back up to “refresh her memory”. I can hardly wait.

Deadline Approaches For Anthony Defense
Defense Must Submit List Of Evidence They Want To Look Over
ORLANDO, Fla. –
A deadline has been set for Thursday morning in the case against Casey Anthony.
Anthony’s defense team has just a few more hours to turn in a list of the evidence they want to inspect at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Last week, Judge Belvin Perry ruled that deputies need to be present while Team Casey sorts through that evidence.
Her attorneys unsuccessfully argued that an independent magistrate should be there instead.
Anthony is being held on no bond at the Orange County Jail. She is charged with murder in the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee.
Caylee’s remains were found in a wooded area near the Anthony family home in December 2008.
Anthony maintains a nanny by the name of Zenaida Gonzalez kidnapped Caylee. Her trial is set to begin in May 2011.
I’m just checking in (daily lurking) on my favorite Caylee news/opinion website. Wish I had time to stick around but I am catching a plane to Orlando at 5:30 pm. (Annual vacation).
