We are so off topic. We are so in trouble. Oh, well, its gone this far. I was just reading around the news, looking for updated on the deposition by defense (on topic). And, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a headline that Balloon Boy’s family has moved to Bradenton, Florida, just up the road a ways from where we live. Oh, great. There goes the neighbor. Feel sorry for the people in Bradenton. (off topic).
Has anyone heard anything about the depositions being taken today? I can’t find anything yet. Wonder if they got through the 17 this morning. I’ll bet they will make some of the lead detectives wait around until the end. The defense is sceewing with the wrong people.

My dads house is in northern Ireland. All that’s ther is a church, pub, and grocery store. What else would ya need? It is so peaceful!

“The defense says that today every person they deposed worked for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and their mission was to weed through who’s going to be important in this case and who’s not,” WOFL’s Holly Bristow said.
Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
Bristow talked to a robbery detective who said he was questioned for five minutes. Defense attorney Jose Baez told Bristow that he doesn’t think anyone questioned today will be called that the trial, but the defense had to depose them because prosecutors listed them as Category A witnesses.
WFTV-Ch. 9’s Kathi Belich focused on how much time was spent on today’s depositions — and she found Baez’s methods wanting. “The 35 law enforcement officers had no choice,” she said. “They had to come here. They were subpoenaed, but many of them sat around and the clock just ticked away for hours, and they had no idea when they were going to be called, and most of them were on duty and said they had work that they should have been doing today.”
In an unusual touch, Belich held a watch to illustrate her point about wasted time and moved the minute hand, which stopped on her. She asked Baez “why he tied up so many officers for hours in one day when he had two years to do this.”
Baez called it the “fastest and most efficient way” to deal with the issues.
But WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer questioned Baez’s approach and said the depositions could have been scheduled at 10-minute intervals. “You don’t want to pull them all off the street, tie their time up when they should be out there protecting and serving,” Sheaffer said.
In other Anthony news, Roy Kronk’s attorney wants off the defense witness list, WESH-Ch. 2 reported tonight. The defense team says Kronk attorney David Evans “has potentially discoverable evidence not covered by the attorney-client privilege,” anchor Martha Sugalski said.
Evans told WESH’s Bob Kealing that he has nothing to give the defense. If the defense won’t remove him from its witness list, Evans said he will go to Judge Belvin Perry and fight to remain Kronk’s lawyer.
“I’m not going to permit myself to be disqualified as Mr. Kronk’s counsel without a fight over it,” Evans told Bob Kealing.

It has been taken over by Investigation Discovery which has pretty lame programming compared to Court. I can see I am going to be totally dependant on your calendar and my ability to set my computer up to download that streamed hearings and motions and trial to my computer so I can watch in the evening. Believe it or not retirement is delightful but busy!

The defense team in the Casey Anthony case deposed several dozen people today.
“The defense says that today every person they deposed worked for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and their mission was to weed through who’s going to be important in this case and who’s not,” WOFL’s Holly Bristow said.
Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
Bristow talked to a robbery detective who said he was questioned for five minutes. Defense attorney Jose Baez told Bristow that he doesn’t think anyone questioned today will be called that the trial, but the defense had to depose them because prosecutors listed them as Category A witnesses.
WFTV-Ch. 9’s Kathi Belich focused on how much time was spent on today’s depositions — and she found Baez’s methods wanting. “The 35 law enforcement officers had no choice,” she said. “They had to come here. They were subpoenaed, but many of them sat around and the clock just ticked away for hours, and they had no idea when they were going to be called, and most of them were on duty and said they had work that they should have been doing today.”
In an unusual touch, Belich held a watch to illustrate her point about wasted time and moved the minute hand, which stopped on her. She asked Baez “why he tied up so many officers for hours in one day when he had two years to do this.”
Baez called it the “fastest and most efficient way” to deal with the issues.
But WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer questioned Baez’s approach and said the depositions could have been scheduled at 10-minute intervals. “You don’t want to pull them all off the street, tie their time up when they should be out there protecting and serving,” Sheaffer said.
In other Anthony news, Roy Kronk’s attorney wants off the defense witness list, WESH-Ch. 2 reported tonight. The defense team says Kronk attorney David Evans “has potentially discoverable evidence not covered by the attorney-client privilege,” anchor Martha Sugalski said.
Evans told WESH’s Bob Kealing that he has nothing to give the defense. If the defense won’t remove him from its witness list, Evans said he will go to Judge Belvin Perry and fight to remain Kronk’s lawyer.
“I’m not going to permit myself to be disqualified as Mr. Kronk’s counsel without a fight over it,” Evans told Bob Kealing.

Humble – thanks so much for posting the hearing of Aug 30. I couldn’t find it anywhere when I got home – tried WESH, WFTV and Fox. We don’t get Court TV in Toronto anymore. It has been taken over by Investigation Discovery which has pretty lame programming compared to Court. I can see I am going to be totally dependant on your calendar and my ability to set my computer up to download that streamed hearings and motions and trial to my computer so I can watch in the evening. Believe it or not retirement is delightful but busy!
Smoke thanks for the Bus and Personals information a couple of days ago. Most helpful.
