Little boy found about 20-25 mins from us…they thought he was 3-4, but it looks like he is about 6. It also looks like he had special medical needs…they believe he was on a feeding tube. If by chance anyone should recognize his picture…computer enhanced. Or if you would like to email to anyone in the Texas area or surrounding states that you may know…it would be greatly appreciated.
It is Humble…I didn’t make it through the whole article. When I got to the feeding tube I text a friend to make sure she saw the picture. He was found in an area where it is pretty much her back yard….With her having a child with special needs, I thought if he was from the area even a little farther out, she might recognize him because of the feeding tube/special needs. I just heard they think he was there for about 24 hours. It is very sad!

The body of a missing 4-year-old boy has been found, and his parents have been arrested in his death.
Ethan Stacy’s body was found Tuesday, buried next to a trail near the Powder Mountain Ski resort. Ethan’s stepfather, Nathan Sloop, was arrested on suspicion of homicide. Nathan Sloop and Ethan’s mother, Stephanie Sloop, both are suspected of child abuse, obstruction of justice and desecration of a corpse, Layton police said.

A federal law that allowed officials to maintain custody of dangerous sex offenders even after they served their criminal court sentences has been upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. The court ruled that federal officials can hold inmates indefinitely if they are judged to be “sexually dangerous.”
The 7-2 ruling overturned a lower court decision that said Congress overstepped its authority in passing the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act in 2006.

Pediacare Recall 2010 – Another Children’s Medicine Recall. Blacksmith Brands, the the manufacturer of Children’s cough medication, says Pediacare has issued a precautionary recall that will affect, at most, 100,000 packages of their popular children’s cough medication. There’s no word on what caused the recall, but no illnesses or deaths are said to have been reported.
The Pediacare recall couldn’t come at a worse time for Johnson & Johnson. Once a company hailed for their quality healthcare products and medications, now they are in a world of trouble. McNeil Healthcare products, another J&J subsidiary could face criminal charges for the recent Children’s and Infant’s Tylenol recall.
The Pediacare products were formerly owned by J&J but were sold to Blacksmith Brands in November, 2009. However the products under recall were still made at the facililty where the other Children’s and Infant’s medications that were recalled last month. Blacksmith Brands already had two manufacturers other than J&J lined up to start production in July.
J&J faces criminal charges after hiring contractors to buy up large quantities of recalled Motrin. The government also wants to run an assessment to see what type of resources that the FDA needs and if they need more power to call a recall. Currently a company has to voluntarily comply with a verdict.
Currently, the facility in Pennsylvania where all the recalls have been issued out of have been closed.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A private investigator who helped build an extortion case against Joran Van der Sloot says the young Dutchman should have been arrested before he went to Peru.
Bo Dietl says FBI agents recorded a meeting last month in Aruba where Van der Sloot requested money from a lawyer for the family of Natalee Holloway in exchange for information about her 2005 disappearance.
The retired New York City detective said Wednesday that Van der Sloot received $25,000 in the sting operation before he left for Peru. The young Dutchman is now accused of killing a woman in his Lima hotel room.
Dietl says Van der Sloot claimed in the meeting that he and his father buried Holloway after she hit her head and died, but the claim proved false.

U.S. media report a Dutch murder suspect in Peru has told police he is ready to lead authorities to the body of a missing American woman.
Peruvian officials said late Thursday that 22-year-old Joran van der Sloot has agreed to tell authorities in Aruba where to find the remains of Natalie Holloway.
New documents say the Dutchman told a family representative Holloway was buried at his father’s house but that Aruban authorities determined the house had not been built at the time of the disappearance.

SALINAS, Calif. — Jail officials in California say a father accused of trying to sell his baby for $25 outside a Walmart is recovering after other inmates beat him.
Thirty-eight-year-old Patrick Fousek and 20-year-old Samantha Tomasini, of Salinas, pleaded not guilty to child endangerment and drug charges Friday.
Fousek appeared in court with a bruised eye and stitches. Sheriff’s Cmdr. Mike Richards said the man was attacked Thursday at the Monterey County Jail. He also suffered two cracked ribs and is now being held away from the general population.
Fousek is accused of approaching two women Wednesday and asking if they’d like to purchase his 6-month-old.
He and Tomasini were arrested a few hours later at their home, and Child Protective Services took the baby.

Former Children’s Author Sentenced in Child Pornography Case
PORTLAND, OR—A published children’s author from Portland was sentenced this morning after pleading guilty to two counts of possessing child pornography. Kevin Patrick Bath, 51, who wrote under the name K.P. Bath, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Ancer L. Haggerty to six years in prison followed by a five-year term of supervised release. Bath will be subject to a number of conditions of supervision, including a requirement that he register as a sex offender.

Texas Teacher Charged With Sexual Assault on 4-Year-Old Girls

26-year-old Austin school teacher was charged with sexual assault on two four-year-old girls, MyFoxAustin.com reported Tuesday.
Police called Gerald Laneaux a pedophile and a predator after he was accused of two separate attacks on young girls.
One attack allegedly took place at a Pflugerville preschool where Laneaux was working, and another was in his car.
The mother of the victim who was allegedly attacked in Laneaux’s car said she was distraught because she had trusted the young teacher.
She said: “My daughter came to me and told me that she was hurting. I was shaking but was trying my best to keep it under control because she’s four and I didn’t want to scare her and I wanted her to tell me exactly what happened. When I was talking to her, I was very calm but inside I was shaking and my heart was racing.”
Police said Laneaux’s other attack was carried out at the Goddard School off Wells Branch in Pflugerville.
The school’s owner Paul Dunn said Laneaux was a teacher there but only for a couple of months last summer before he asked him to leave.
Dunn said: “We had various performance issues with Gerald, ultimately culminating when he exercised poor judgment and interaction with a child.”
Laneaux was released on two $100,000 bonds and if convicted of the crimes could face life in prison.

Using DNA from his son to identify him as a suspect, the Los Angeles Police Department has arrested a man suspected in 11 serial killings going back to 1985. Lonnie Franklin Jr., who once worked as a police garage attendant, was charged with 10 counts of murder, one count of attempted murder with special circumstances of multiple murders.
LOS ANGELES — A sheriff’s spokesman says the man charged in the “Grim Sleeper” killings was attacked by another inmate at the Los Angeles County jail.
Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said Wednesday night that the attack on Lonnie Franklin Jr. occurred Friday in an attorney waiting room.
Whitmore says inmate Antonio Rodriguez apparently recognized Franklin, broke free as he was being handcuffed by a deputy and punched Franklin a couple of times in the head. Whitmore says Franklin is OK.
The Los Angeles Times say Rodriguez had been convicted of sexually assaulting and killing a 5-year-old girl.
Franklin was arrested July 7 and charged with murdering 10 women over a 22-year period.
Kidnapped California Girl Found In Phoenix
Girl Recovered After Seven Years Missing
PHOENIX — Phoenix police detectives acting on a court order from Los Angeles, were able to identify a south Phoenix girl as a child abducted from California nearly seven years ago.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office received information including a Phoenix address where the girl may be living. Armed with a court order to gather identifying characteristics; including footprints, photographs, and DNA swabs from the girl, detectives arrived at the house. When they made entry into the home they found the girl being hidden under a pile of clothes and towels in a bathtub.
Police learned that the child’s identity had been changed, as well as her date of birth. Even though, she was in good physical condition the child had not been allowed to attend school. The adult female at the house during Wednesday’s raid was found to have no family ties to the little girl.
The child was turned over to CPS authorities and returned to California this evening with L.A. County detectives who will continue their investigation.

Picton killed his victims and their remains were fed to his livestock (pigs). The manner in which the victims were killed were not completely clear, but some of the items seized as evidence and some testimony paint a vivid picture of how at least one or more of the victims died. Comparably, the Anthony case has generated tens of thousands of documents. The Pickton case has generated tens of millions.

A man accused of beating his 2-year-old son unconscious, and claimed he was trying to teach the toddler to box, was ordered held without bond Wednesday.
Lee Willie DeJesus, 23, will remain in a Miami-Dade County jail. He is accused of hitting his son, Willy Brown, about 15 times Monday at their Homestead apartment, 316 SW Fourth Ave.
With the toddler on a bed, DeJesus punched him in the face, head, torso and shoulders, according to Miami-Dade police.
DeJesus then waited — possibly as long as an hour — before calling 911, according to an arrest affidavit. The attack took place while the boy’s mother was at work, the affidavit said.
The boy’s family told Miami Herald news partner WFOR-CBS 4 Wednesday that the child was brain-dead but being kept on life-support so his organs could be donated.

DAMASCUS, Ore. — Clackamas County deputies arrested a fugitive they believe abused a seven-year-old girl, and then married the girl’s mother.
Don Edward Smock was indicted July 30 on 45 counts of child sex abuse. Investigators say that, two hours after Smock was indicted, he secretly married the mother of his alleged victim in Colton, Oregon.
Smock was arrested in Damascus Wednesday evening.
The woman’s daughter, the alleged abuse victim, was reportedly present at the ceremony.
The newly-married couple reportedly honeymooned in a Portland hotel throughout the weekend, accompanied by the victim child, until Smock fled to California.
Police say his 41-year-old newlywed bride of Damascus, had not been cooperating with the investigation. She was arrested Tuesday and charged with hindering prosecution, tampering with a witness, perjury and false swearing.
Smock had previously fled to Sacramento, California during an earlier stage of the investigation.

COCOA, Fla. — A woman whose body was discovered Friday in Cocoa was bound with duct tape, covered in concrete and buried in a shallow grave, WESH 2 News learned Wednesday night.
Darice Knowles, 22, had been in Brevard County only a few weeks before she disappeared in 2006.
Last week, police said they received a tip that her body could be found in a wooded area near State Road 524 and Interstate 95. A source within the investigation said a participant in the slaying led detectives to the site.
It took crime scene technicians five days to remove the body from its grave. The skeletal remains, still hardened in the concrete, were transported to the Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office by heavy equipment, according to a WESH 2 News source.
According to a source who saw the remains, Knowles’ head, hands and legs protruded from the concrete. Her mouth and wrists had been bound with duct tape, the source said. More>>>

The baby, who was born prematurely Monday, is in stable condition at a different hospital.

It is Humble…I didn’t make it through the whole article. When I got to the feeding tube I text a friend to make sure she saw the picture. He was found in an area where it is pretty much her back yard….With her having a child with special needs, I thought if he was from the area even a little farther out, she might recognize him because of the feeding tube/special needs. I just heard they think he was there for about 24 hours. It is very sad!

The body of a missing 4-year-old boy has been found, and his parents have been arrested in his death.
Ethan Stacy’s body was found Tuesday, buried next to a trail near the Powder Mountain Ski resort. Ethan’s stepfather, Nathan Sloop, was arrested on suspicion of homicide. Nathan Sloop and Ethan’s mother, Stephanie Sloop, both are suspected of child abuse, obstruction of justice and desecration of a corpse, Layton police said.

A federal law that allowed officials to maintain custody of dangerous sex offenders even after they served their criminal court sentences has been upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. The court ruled that federal officials can hold inmates indefinitely if they are judged to be “sexually dangerous.”
The 7-2 ruling overturned a lower court decision that said Congress overstepped its authority in passing the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act in 2006.

Pediacare Recall 2010 – Another Children’s Medicine Recall. Blacksmith Brands, the the manufacturer of Children’s cough medication, says Pediacare has issued a precautionary recall that will affect, at most, 100,000 packages of their popular children’s cough medication. There’s no word on what caused the recall, but no illnesses or deaths are said to have been reported.
The Pediacare recall couldn’t come at a worse time for Johnson & Johnson. Once a company hailed for their quality healthcare products and medications, now they are in a world of trouble. McNeil Healthcare products, another J&J subsidiary could face criminal charges for the recent Children’s and Infant’s Tylenol recall.
The Pediacare products were formerly owned by J&J but were sold to Blacksmith Brands in November, 2009. However the products under recall were still made at the facililty where the other Children’s and Infant’s medications that were recalled last month. Blacksmith Brands already had two manufacturers other than J&J lined up to start production in July.
J&J faces criminal charges after hiring contractors to buy up large quantities of recalled Motrin. The government also wants to run an assessment to see what type of resources that the FDA needs and if they need more power to call a recall. Currently a company has to voluntarily comply with a verdict.
Currently, the facility in Pennsylvania where all the recalls have been issued out of have been closed.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A private investigator who helped build an extortion case against Joran Van der Sloot says the young Dutchman should have been arrested before he went to Peru.
Bo Dietl says FBI agents recorded a meeting last month in Aruba where Van der Sloot requested money from a lawyer for the family of Natalee Holloway in exchange for information about her 2005 disappearance.
The retired New York City detective said Wednesday that Van der Sloot received $25,000 in the sting operation before he left for Peru. The young Dutchman is now accused of killing a woman in his Lima hotel room.
Dietl says Van der Sloot claimed in the meeting that he and his father buried Holloway after she hit her head and died, but the claim proved false.

U.S. media report a Dutch murder suspect in Peru has told police he is ready to lead authorities to the body of a missing American woman.
Peruvian officials said late Thursday that 22-year-old Joran van der Sloot has agreed to tell authorities in Aruba where to find the remains of Natalie Holloway.
New documents say the Dutchman told a family representative Holloway was buried at his father’s house but that Aruban authorities determined the house had not been built at the time of the disappearance.

SALINAS, Calif. — Jail officials in California say a father accused of trying to sell his baby for $25 outside a Walmart is recovering after other inmates beat him.
Thirty-eight-year-old Patrick Fousek and 20-year-old Samantha Tomasini, of Salinas, pleaded not guilty to child endangerment and drug charges Friday.
Fousek appeared in court with a bruised eye and stitches. Sheriff’s Cmdr. Mike Richards said the man was attacked Thursday at the Monterey County Jail. He also suffered two cracked ribs and is now being held away from the general population.
Fousek is accused of approaching two women Wednesday and asking if they’d like to purchase his 6-month-old.
He and Tomasini were arrested a few hours later at their home, and Child Protective Services took the baby.

26-year-old Austin school teacher was charged with sexual assault on two four-year-old girls, MyFoxAustin.com reported Tuesday.
Police called Gerald Laneaux a pedophile and a predator after he was accused of two separate attacks on young girls.
One attack allegedly took place at a Pflugerville preschool where Laneaux was working, and another was in his car.
The mother of the victim who was allegedly attacked in Laneaux’s car said she was distraught because she had trusted the young teacher.
She said: “My daughter came to me and told me that she was hurting. I was shaking but was trying my best to keep it under control because she’s four and I didn’t want to scare her and I wanted her to tell me exactly what happened. When I was talking to her, I was very calm but inside I was shaking and my heart was racing.”
Police said Laneaux’s other attack was carried out at the Goddard School off Wells Branch in Pflugerville.
The school’s owner Paul Dunn said Laneaux was a teacher there but only for a couple of months last summer before he asked him to leave.
Dunn said: “We had various performance issues with Gerald, ultimately culminating when he exercised poor judgment and interaction with a child.”
Laneaux was released on two $100,000 bonds and if convicted of the crimes could face life in prison.

Kidnapped California Girl Found In Phoenix
Girl Recovered After Seven Years Missing
PHOENIX — Phoenix police detectives acting on a court order from Los Angeles, were able to identify a south Phoenix girl as a child abducted from California nearly seven years ago.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office received information including a Phoenix address where the girl may be living. Armed with a court order to gather identifying characteristics; including footprints, photographs, and DNA swabs from the girl, detectives arrived at the house. When they made entry into the home they found the girl being hidden under a pile of clothes and towels in a bathtub.
Police learned that the child’s identity had been changed, as well as her date of birth. Even though, she was in good physical condition the child had not been allowed to attend school. The adult female at the house during Wednesday’s raid was found to have no family ties to the little girl.
The child was turned over to CPS authorities and returned to California this evening with L.A. County detectives who will continue their investigation.

Hi Mikka…I had been painting, putting base board, had to texture walls and much more getting ready for the cousin to visit for 3 weeks. Still have lots to finish, but now no hurry.
Now my oldest is moving home for a month or so…have to move things around again. But, this weekend hopefully I will be back with you all.

Picton killed his victims and their remains were fed to his livestock (pigs). The manner in which the victims were killed were not completely clear, but some of the items seized as evidence and some testimony paint a vivid picture of how at least one or more of the victims died. Comparably, the Anthony case has generated tens of thousands of documents. The Pickton case has generated tens of millions.

She did…she was in Berlin, but went to see all of them in Frankfurt. She only got to go for a weekend, but it was nice. Our cousin had a good time and has wanted to move to the states for a while…We haven’t known them very long, but the all seem to be so nice

A man accused of beating his 2-year-old son unconscious, and claimed he was trying to teach the toddler to box, was ordered held without bond Wednesday.
Lee Willie DeJesus, 23, will remain in a Miami-Dade County jail. He is accused of hitting his son, Willy Brown, about 15 times Monday at their Homestead apartment, 316 SW Fourth Ave.
With the toddler on a bed, DeJesus punched him in the face, head, torso and shoulders, according to Miami-Dade police.
DeJesus then waited — possibly as long as an hour — before calling 911, according to an arrest affidavit. The attack took place while the boy’s mother was at work, the affidavit said.
The boy’s family told Miami Herald news partner WFOR-CBS 4 Wednesday that the child was brain-dead but being kept on life-support so his organs could be donated.

DAMASCUS, Ore. — Clackamas County deputies arrested a fugitive they believe abused a seven-year-old girl, and then married the girl’s mother.
Don Edward Smock was indicted July 30 on 45 counts of child sex abuse. Investigators say that, two hours after Smock was indicted, he secretly married the mother of his alleged victim in Colton, Oregon.
Smock was arrested in Damascus Wednesday evening.
The woman’s daughter, the alleged abuse victim, was reportedly present at the ceremony.
The newly-married couple reportedly honeymooned in a Portland hotel throughout the weekend, accompanied by the victim child, until Smock fled to California.
Police say his 41-year-old newlywed bride of Damascus, had not been cooperating with the investigation. She was arrested Tuesday and charged with hindering prosecution, tampering with a witness, perjury and false swearing.
Smock had previously fled to Sacramento, California during an earlier stage of the investigation.

COCOA, Fla. — A woman whose body was discovered Friday in Cocoa was bound with duct tape, covered in concrete and buried in a shallow grave, WESH 2 News learned Wednesday night.
Darice Knowles, 22, had been in Brevard County only a few weeks before she disappeared in 2006.
Last week, police said they received a tip that her body could be found in a wooded area near State Road 524 and Interstate 95. A source within the investigation said a participant in the slaying led detectives to the site.
It took crime scene technicians five days to remove the body from its grave. The skeletal remains, still hardened in the concrete, were transported to the Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office by heavy equipment, according to a WESH 2 News source.
According to a source who saw the remains, Knowles’ head, hands and legs protruded from the concrete. Her mouth and wrists had been bound with duct tape, the source said. More>>>

Hidalgo state Attorney General Jose Rodriguez says the parents heard a strange noise coming from the tiny casket. Opening it up, they found her crying and very much alive.
Rodriguez told state public radio Thursday that the doctor who pronounced the girl dead at a hospital in the town of Tulancingo is being investigated for possible negligence.
The baby, who was born prematurely Monday, is in stable condition at a different hospital.

Haleigh’s Dad Pleads Guilty In Drug Case
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The father of a missing North Florida girl has pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges.
Ronald Cummings pleaded guilty Friday to three of five charges against him and agreed to testify for the state in future cases involving the drug cases or his missing daughter, Haleigh.
Cummings, 26, will be sentenced Sept. 24.
