I WROTE ALL THIS ALMOST A MONTH AGO & THOUGHT YOU’D ENJOY READING SOME OF THE REASONS WHY I’M PROUD TO SAY I’M DEFINITELY ADDICTED TO ["LOVE"] OUR HUMBLE HOME!
SO Are you addicted to HumbleOpinion forum [“HOF”] & or to blogging about the case against WF/CMA so our baby girl, Caylee Marie can finally rest in peace?
This is a list of everything I can think of that has affected my life since day one.. maybe others have some to add?
Our checklist is as follows..
#1- If you click on HOF [HumbleO Forum] before email or your local online news/weather!
2- If you run to the kitchen for a bite to eat then right back to the PC w/ trayful of food enough to last awhile!
3- If you know darn well it’s lurking but you call it “catching up”! LOL! [OR IS IT THE OTHER WAY AROUND? LOL]
4- If you still sit regardless of how much work you know you have to do before a holiday! [OR ANY OTHER DAY’S WORK..LOL]
5- If you’ve had dreams & or sweats over this case! [this includes any nightmares of WF/CMA, TSB, G&C, Bozo or anyone of the dumb, lying, sacks-of-poo duhfense [including the nuts they “pay” to tell more lies in “her” defense!]
6- If you write paragraph after paragraph on the case, articles about the A’s.. or poetry/songs/u-tube/parody [I KNOW THIS IS A DEFINITE ME!! HAHHAHA]
7- AND OR IF YOU HAVE AN ENTIRE FOLDER [TIMELINE, PICS, ETC. ] DEDICATED TO THE CASE ANYWHERE ON YOUR PC [THIS INCLUDES ANYTHING SAVED IN FAVS]
8- If you swear to others, “OOOOOOO if I could just get my hands around Casey’s neck! Or say, I CAN’T WAIT TO “watch” her get the needle & WILL laugh OUT LOUD!!
9- If you’d FEEL like smashing your TV when you see those creepy A’s ON IT & OR telling one more lie!
10- If you wish the A’s would shut their BIG, LYING pie holes, already!
11- If you got really PO’D knowing the A’s took a cruise & you had to work or can’t afford to take the time or money to go too!
12- If you ask a neighbor, friend or stranger at the store OR ELSEWHERE, “So what do you think of that DUMBARSE, KILLER MOM, WFCasey? [and, you expect them to know who she is!]
13- If you seek out or search Google” for ANY OR ALL information or site on the WF!
14- If you Google anyone involved with this case [even the nuts who say they have pics to prove WF’s innocence!]
15- If you pass someone on the sidewalk & ask them if they think WF/CMA is guilty & you expect them to know she is & if someone doesn’t know you volunteer to tell them everything about the case & surprise, surprise it actually took you just over an hour!
16- If you find yourself saying, “Surprise, surprise, or any one of the now “quotes” made famous by “mother of the year”!!
17- If your family & friends have not called or visited you in over a year because you let the answering machine PICK UP or you don’t answer the door & or have locked yourself in the PC room w/ your keyboard chained to your wrist!!
18- If you hurry company out the door because you can’t wait any longer to get back to HOF’s !
19- If you’re thinking ‘bout buyin’ DEPENDS ‘cause you almost “P” & or JUST DON’T WANT TO TAKE THE TIME TO USE THE B/R BECAUSE YOU’RE TOO BUSY WITH FRIENDS ON HOF [I HAVE REALLY THOUGHT OF BUYING THESE BUT THE DBF WOULD DEFINITELY DISOWN ME IF HE’D EVER FIND A BOX STASHED AWAY IN SOME SECRET COMPARTMENT!!! LOL]
20- If you’re glad your kids are grown & the grands are old enough to sit quietly in another room while you comment on HOF
21- If you mistakenly call the dbf, hubby or kids a “lyin’ sack of poo” when you “think you caught them” in a lie?
22- If you now question everyone as if they are lying because the A’s have affected you in a way you find everyone else in your life as liars?
23- If you find yourself alone all the time now & you are completely happy being so [because you have friends & family on HOF!.. I COULDN’T RESIST BELIEVING THIS ONE BECAUSE IT’S TRUE BECAUSE WE SHARE SO MUCH IN COMMON!!]
24- If you have to double up on the meds or drink just to get by another day? [j/k,.. this can’t be anyone of us~ LOL]
25- If you now chain smoke! This includes if you roll your own, [not grow you own..lol!] while you’re commenting on HOF! [I USUALLY ROLL ONE, SMOKE ONE.. LOL]
26- If you fall asleep sitting up w/ keyboard on your lap!
27- If YOU JUST HAVE TO watch every hearing or TV show dealing with the case! [EVEN IF WE CAN’T STAND HEARING NG & JVM, WE TOLERATE IT, SOMETIMES!]
28- If you have taken a certain dislike for NG or JVM because they have loud, creepy voices! Or because they won’t stay on the subject, “KC’s GUILT”!!!!!
29- If you now question all those “searching for missing kids”, or leery to donate to any organization for missing kids! [SO TRUE, THIS IS ME & NOW THE DBF.. WE HAVE BECOME SO STINGY WITH OUR MONIES!]
30- If you now give nicknames or use initials to describe anyone in your life such as DA [DumbArse], WF, [well.. I think you get my drift??]
so now.. does anyone else think they’re slightly addicted to Humble’s? How has this case affected you in your everyday life, anyway out of the ordinary? or what keeps you keep coming back to Humble’s?
Can anyone tell me if Geraldo covered the Casey pre-trial from court (friday) this past saturday? I missed it & am curious. Thank you in advance.

ScRaMe, that is hysterical. I just laughed my way down the list. It’s as if you know me personally. On Friday morning, my neighbor came by to check out my kitchen (she is renovating). I led her through as quickly as possible, and practically led her in the direction of the front door. I didn’t even offer coffee. I didn’t care, I couldn’t stand the thought of missing one second of the hearing. You ask if this has affected our everyday life. What life? My laptop and I have become one. My family is afraid to address me, for I will give them “the look”. I am going to copy it (if I may), to send it to the only friend I have who is the least interested in this case. Great, funny job. Thanks for the laughs.

Hi guys! I caught all that BS on Bill’s site. Unbelievable isn’t it? I can’t even tell anymore who’s who. I sometimes think it’s only one or two with a whole bunch of personalities. I know one of them can steal avatars. Heck, maybe they all can. It was SS/MD (same person?) who stole mine last week. They’ve made Bill’s site so tangled I can’t even think about sorting them out. They are poison. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s any way to fight it. At least they show themselves as the idiots they are. HO if you’d rather delete this comment in order to keep peace that’s okay by me.
I was up in the middle of the night reading over at BS’s site. It was beyond disgusting. No one stole that person’s name. I remember once, a long time ago, when she blogged here, she stated the different languages she spoke. And, last night, many of the disgusting and convoluted comments were made in perfect Spanish. She also speaks her native German, and French. When the Spanish comments appeared, I then knew for certain it was her. So sad, so sick. My position when I was in the hot seat with her was to just totally ignore. And, that is what everyone should do in the future if she is allowed on any sites.
Humble, I have a question. What are the rules for blog owners regarding posting personal information about their bloggers, i.e., IP addresses, where they live, etc.? Are there any sanctions against someone who would do that? We all value our privacy dearly, and sometimes it is scary out here in bloggdom.
I am now petrified since I share the name of one of the persons most abusive on the blogs. I missed the fiasco yesterday I guess, but someone definitely needs to deal with it. If that person was banned from all the blogs, they would have to find a new playground to terrorize.
azrenee, don’t worry. We know who you are. Also, sometimes it is easy because we all have a pattern to our writing. I worry because I let some of them in when I did the facebook thing a while ago (wish I hadn’t). Some have my email and I have received some disgusting things since. Plus, there was one trying to infect my emails. That is why I asked Humble, above, about disclosing personal information.
Muesli, there isn’t really anything you ca do, but write to wordpress if it were to happen, and they blog owner is suppose to remove it! That happened to TAS,, a blogger, a while back and it was taken off. It is against TOS on wordpress, but they seem not to care mush.
AZRenee, don’t worry, we can tell the different between your comments and her comments.
Humble, please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m thinking that there’s really no protection from WordPress when it comes to trolls and I also think it would be futile to try and stop them because they can come up with a new username instantly and off they go again.

Steph, I guess either HO doesn’t want to share my email or maybe you are reluctant to give me yours. That’s okay ~ I can respect that. Given what’s been going on I can hardly blame you.
Anyway, I think I have an idea of what you’re wondering and if I’m right I doubt I’d be much help. I have some very, very strong opinions of what has been going on but I still don’t have much proof. I’m trying to find that now (proof). I’ve noticed a couple of strange things in the past few days (and I’m not talking about BS’s blog) and chances are you have too. I’ve been in touch with somebody and all I can do right now is keep watching and making note of the odd things that are going on.
Because this is such a busy time of year there’s no way I can be online all day but I try to check in regularly. Maybe after Christmas there will be some down time and will be able to continue trying to untangle it all. In the meantime, cheers!!!
15DEC09 Hey all, I’m asking for prayer ASAP. My 45 y/o son is undergoing open heart surgery at 6AM Wednensday. I’m off to the hospital right now and I will update you when I can.
I thank you in advance for taking time out to pray for him…bless his heart, he is soooo afraid. I love him so much, afterall he IS MY BABY! (I know GOD hears our prayers)

Folks I am so far behind, I doubt I will ever catch up. Oh that is right-I saw George and Cindy on TODAY show this morning and I see not much has changed. Casey is still the victim blah blah blah.
Anyway I wantet to say hello and wish you all a Merry CHRISTmas. I also wanted to share one of my favorite recipes with you. I bet if you read it you will want to make it-or at least fall out of your chair laughing!
My Christmas Cookies
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup nuts
2 cups of dried fruit
1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila
Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.
Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one peastoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it’s best to make sure the Cuervo is still ok, try another cup just in case.
Turn off the mixerer thingy.
Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick the frigging fruit off the floor.
Mix on the turner.
If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaters just pry it loose with a drewscriver.
Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who geeves a s….t. Check the Jose Cuervo.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table.
Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don’t forget to beat off the turner.
Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the wishdasher.

Agree KC isn’t the brightest light bulb in the pack but some things just make better sense when those coincidences do come up..
And, if anyone remembers the many crazy “leads” that came out, at the very beginning?? I thought they were sort of nutty so deleted them after reading the first one. Anyway, one I remembered, mentioned “visions” of seeing Caylee being held at an abandoned house nearby? “Odd”, I thought after seeing video of domcasey searching that place! OH well, speculation on my part but odd nonetheless! I do find it odd too how many coincidences connected to this case also!
Also, sad news about Brittany Murphy! She was such a pretty, bubbly & talented actress! She always reminded me of my adopted daughter, also a Brittany but few yrs older.

It had been said she was very sick and on prescription drugs for flu like symptoms, she collapsed in her bathroom, which was when 911 was called. Apparently she was deceased when the ambulance arrived as the neighbor said they were performing CPR on her when she was taken out on the gurney!
It has been said that she wanted to have children in 2010.

Steffiee, Thanks! Gear up for some nasty responses. I don’t read the comments any more, posted once and never again. I have emailed BillS and told him to get a grip or quit! I can not believe the childish crap that goes on there! AND I honestly believe it is not only Renee. I believe it is a few other blog owners that are doing it also. They can disguise themselves and use other people names and email address’. It is sad that the jealous of BillS blog by others. It started out good, then some felt the urge to be arses there! Some post as if others are idiots. Some are just pure arse kissers! It is a board of hatred and it is just useless.
22DEC09 – Robb’s open heart surgery went well as could be expected…He’s home now, still in a great deal of pain, he had a triple bypass, and only at age 45. I’m the only one responsible for him, and you have imagine how difficult it is to lift a big guy everytime he has to go to the ”big boy’ bathroom…..lol ALSO, they (doctors) have diagnosed him with stage 2 diabetes….I’m having an extremely difficult time with taking this blood sugar level evey four hours and giving those miserable injections, five times a day….man oh man, I’m serching the internet for ‘natural’ ways to conquer this demon. Anyone have any good suggestions? Bless his heart, he has to take a pain pill, three blood pressure pills, two types of insulin twice a day, and I’ve begun the process of changing hi

Boy, I was tired when I wrote all of that above…lol. I meant ‘Type 2′ diabetes, and his insulin injections are two different types, four times a day. Geeshhh, I’ve gotta get some rest. LOL
Yes, Humble, the diabetes is just another challenge, of which, GOD is in charge and we will conquer with HIM.

Prayers for you Mimi, and your son…this too will pass. Im very sad that we had two lawyers willing to set forth opinions on this case, but one blog is filled with nonsense and the other attorney apparently lost his mind ??? I guess we will have to see how the law plays out in court, as the Fla attorneys are either inconsistent with their evaluations ( nothing much from BS on the motions rulings) or half crazy ( outing blogs for…Im not sure what reason). Oh well…

Mom charged in baby’s Christmas Eve beating death

DETROIT – A Detroit woman was charged with murder on Monday, accused of fatally beating her 2-month-old daughter on Christmas Eve and covering up her death. The woman’s boyfriend is also charged in the case.
Detroit Police say Asia Wyatt’s death was concealed until Christmas Day, when her mother called 911.
Charlotte C. Wyatt, 21, is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree child abuse and tampering with evidence in the girl’s death. Leon F. Cole, 26, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence and fourth-degree child abuse.
Not guilty pleas were entered for Wyatt and Cole. No attorney had been assigned to either as of Monday afternoon. Both remain jailed and face a preliminary examination Jan. 7.
Police spokesman John Roach said both played a role in the events surrounding the girl’s death but the exact involvement of each is still being determined.
“We’re getting conflicting stories from the suspects,” Roach said.
He said investigators believe the child died as a result of her injuries, and her body was left outside in a nearby yard. The body was retrieved and brought inside before the mother called 911, he said.

Rolando Fuentes-Alago was arrested on Monday. He is facing capital sexual battery charges.
The teacher called police after one of her students said Fuentes-Alago molested her.
Detectives say they are continuing to investigate the case, including trips the suspect made to Puerto Rico.

FDLE: Polk Co. Children Safe, Suspects In Custody Alysha, Kayahra Plain Found Safe In Orlando
Two missing children were found safe in Orlando just after 4 p.m. Wednesday after a Florida Amber Alert was issued just hours before for for Alysha, 4, and Kayahra, 5, Plain.
The suspected kidnappers, including the girls’ mother, were taken into custody, according to FDLE.
No other information is known as this time.
Chlry, in retrospect, they seemed to become very “chummy” very quickly. It is just so unusual to see the intimate looks and “touchy feely” between an attorney an client. Sure all attorneys must act upon the “assumed innocence” of their client – but from the very first time we saw Bozo, he acted as if he and Casey had some “secret” that certainly has never come to fruitation to cast ANY doubt on her guilt. The looks they exchange in court are personal and sexually charged (IMO)and that has been between them from the very beginning.Personally I have always felt Bozo was far out of his league-he was never the pilar of strength needed to handle this case. When it is all said and done, Casey acted alone in the murder of Caylee. The best any attorney could hope for would be to save her life-to bargain for a sentence of life without parole. It is too late for her to show remorse now, and thus I think LWP is no longer an option. Bozo let that opportunity pass long, long ago.

Information we collect when you interact with Facebook:
Site activity information. 3. Information You Share With Third Parties

4. How We Use Your Information

6. How You Can View, Change, or Remove Information
Viewing and editing your profile. You may change or delete your profile information at any time by going to your profile page and clicking “Edit My Profile.” Information will be updated immediately. While you cannot delete your date of birth, you can use the setting on the info tab of your profile information page to hide all or part of it from other users.
Delete uploaded contacts. If you use our contact importer to upload addresses, you can later delete the list on this help page.
Deactivating or deleting your account. If you want to stop using your account you may deactivate it or delete it. When you deactivate an account, no user will be able to see it, but it will not be deleted. You will still have the ability to reactivate your account and restore your profile in its entirety. When you delete an account, it is permanently deleted. You should only delete your account if you are certain you never want to reactivate it. You may deactivate your account on your account settings page or delete your account on this help page.
Limitations on removal. Even after you remove information from your profile or delete your account, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared with others, it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your privacy settings, or it was copied or stored by other users. However, your name will no longer be associated with that information on Facebook. (For example, if you post something to another user’s profile, and then you delete your account, that post may remain, but be attributed to an “Anonymous Facebook User.”) Additionally, we may retain certain information to prevent identity theft and other misconduct even if deletion has been requested.
Backup copies. Removed and deleted information may persist in backup copies for up to 90 days, but will not be available to others.
Non-user contact information. If a user provides your email address to us, and you are not a Facebook user but you want us to delete your address, you can do so on this help page. However, that request will only apply to addresses we have at the time of the request and not to any addresses that users provide to us later.

Jenna Marie was born dec 28th at 8;43am, 7lbs 5oz, and 18 1/2″ long. she is a great baby and i love her soo much!! i have to say my life is definatly complete with 3 girls!! she woke last nite at 12;30am, 4;30am and then 7;30am. she is absolutly wonderful!!!!

Another time, back when hubby was still drinking, him and a couple of his buddies cooked a ham on the grill.. IN A BLIZZARD.. Everyone in the neighborhood was laughing at them.. NUTS!! *L*

BUNNELL — The father of missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings has switched jail cells.
Ronald Cummings was moved from the Flagler County Jail to the Putnam County Jail.
He and four others, including his ex-wife, Misty, were arrested earlier in January for illegally selling powerful prescription painkillers.
Cummings was being kept in the Flagler County Jail, because the suspects were ordered to be segregated.

The medical examiner’s office confirmed this afternoon that the body found Jan. 27 at Smith Gap Landfill in Roanoke County was that of missing toddler Aveion Malik Lewis, police said.
The Roanoke Police Department charged Brandon Lockett, the toddler’s stepfather, with felony child neglect, improper disposal of a body and obstruction of justice after Lewis went missing in mid-January.
Police announced this week that they were investigating an e-mail account linked to Locket to confirm whether anyone else may have been involved in the toddler’s death.

Two stories that upset me to a point of a no-end-venting session & wishing I could do more to stop the madness & stupidity of some parents!
Story 1 –
A young father, 28 faces charges for allegedly abandoning his two sons, ages 2 & 3, in his van for at least an hour while he was being treated for kidney stone at the hospital.
He left the boys in the vehicle by themselves after he parked near the hospital in the morning & an hour went by before someone saw the toddlers in the vehicle and notified police. Officers found the father inside the hospital’s emergency room & at no time did he mention to anyone on the hospital staff that he left his sons alone in a vehicle!
Charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, also on parole for forgery & recommitted to prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. Jailed initially on a parole violation, he has since waived his preliminary hearing.
This was in the old hometown north of where I now live with dbf.
Story 2 –
This is outrageous & probably happens more often than we know!
A legal loophole allowed a convicted sex offender to go free.
“A man, ag-25, who was convicted of sexual offenses against children in Ohio, worked last summer for an amusement company in PA.
Following his arrest for public drunkenness July ‘09, it was learned that he also had failed to register as a sex offender as required by Megan’s Law.
However, he was found not guilty because the law doesn’t cover transient workers from out-of-state who are in an area for less than 30 days. “Megan’s Law does not cover the situation where a person does not have a fixed place of habitation of some degree of permanence”.
“I’m sure you can see the danger to the public from sex offenders who come here as fair, carnival or gas line workers”. “We are unable to prosecute sex offenders who are transient, who come here to work on a temporary basis, or who we can’t show have lived somewhere for 30 days.”
BTW.. this is right down the road from us, near the school my neighbor children attend & where my Ryan once attended. “ScRaMa..
We have a fair every summer & to think they hire anyone on like a traveling circus of sorts. It make me sick to think of having a sex offender so closeby to our children!

A grand jury indicted a Scottsdale woman Tuesday on counts of forgery and conspiracy to commit custodial interference in connection with the case of a missing 9-month-old Tempe boy. According to the indictment and police, Tammi Fay Smith, 37, and Elizabeth Johnson plotted to sever the parental rights of Gabriel Johnson’s father.
Elizabeth Johnson, who is charged with kidnapping, child abuse and custodial interference, left the state with Gabriel in December and claims to have both killed the child and given him up for adoption in Texas.
The boy hasn’t been seen since Dec. 26, and San Antonio police are searching a landfill for his remains. The indictment also alleges Smith forged a court document. Police say she admitted to forging the document, which was filed in the child custody case involving Johnson and Gabriel’s father, Logan McQueary.
Mikka, I pray Gabriel is alive-but if they find him in that landfill I hope they charge Tammi too with Murder. If she had minded her own business,…….

A man convicted of molesting a 5-yr-old boy will spend the next 14 to 28 years in state prison.
Adam W. 31, has been sentenced following a retrial in Oct ’09. He had sex with the boy in 2002 & 2003
(just north of here where I was raised & where I raised three of my children).
“What was most chilling was Adam W, threatened to kill the child if he told anybody.” “The boy gave details of how he would kill him and his siblings by slitting their throats.”
The boy, now ag-12, was a key witness for the prosecutor.
Charges were filed against Adam W. in Aug ’08, seven months after county Children & Youth officials alerted the Chief County Detective, an expert in child sex offense investigations.
The boy’s counselors, mother & stepmother also testified… Also a child psychologist & state troopers testified at trial.
In the first trial that ended Sept 22, jurors could not reach a verdict & the judge declared a hung jury. New jurors were selected for the retrial.
The jurors deliberated for just shy of five hours before finding Adam W. guilty of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault & endangering the welfare of a child.
HERE IS THE PART THAT MAKES ME SICK!!!!!!!!
Despite his actions, Adam W. was not found to be a sexually violent predator by the state Sexual Offender Assessment Board.
So the judge has terminated Adam W’s bail & gave him credit for time served since Oct. 28. He is also to serve four years of consecutive supervised probation upon his release from prison and is to register with state police for a lifetime under Megan’s Law.

Got some bad news but blessed it was not worse…my son had to have both testicles removed today and we also found out it has gone in his stomach and his lungs…brain and bone scan are scheduled for March 19 and then chemo the week after…he is self employed with no insurance so I will be spending alot of time with trying to get aid…just want you to know that in the wee hours of the morning how much I enjoy sitting here reading all your posts…

WASHINGTON — The Feds are on Facebook. And MySpace, LinkedIn and Twitter, too.
U.S. law enforcement agents are following the rest of the Internet world into popular social-networking services, going undercover with false online profiles to communicate with suspects and gather private information, according to an internal Justice Department document that offers a tantalizing glimpse of issues related to privacy and crime-fighting.
Think you know who’s behind that “friend” request? Think again. Your new “friend” just might be the FBI.
The document, obtained in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, makes clear that U.S. agents are already logging on surreptitiously to exchange messages with suspects, identify a target’s friends or relatives and browse private information such as postings, personal photographs and video clips.
Among other purposes: Investigators can check suspects’ alibis by comparing stories told to police with tweets sent at the same time about their whereabouts. Online photos from a suspicious spending spree — people posing with jewelry, guns or fancy cars — can link suspects or their friends to robberies or burglaries.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a San Francisco-based civil liberties group, obtained the Justice Department document when it sued the agency and five others in federal court. The 33-page document underscores the importance of social networking sites to U.S. authorities. The foundation said it would publish the document on its Web site on Tuesday.
With agents going undercover, state and local police coordinate their online activities with the Secret Service, FBI and other federal agencies in a strategy known as “deconfliction” to keep out of each other’s way.
“You could really mess up someone’s investigation because you’re investigating the same person and maybe doing things that are counterproductive to what another agency is doing,” said Detective Frank Dannahey of the Rocky Hill, Conn., Police Department, a veteran of dozens of undercover cases.
A decade ago, agents kept watch over AOL and MSN chat rooms to nab sexual predators. But those text-only chat services are old-school compared with today’s social media, which contain mountains of personal data, photographs, videos and audio clips — a potential treasure trove of evidence for cases of violent crime, financial fraud and much more.
The Justice Department document, part of a presentation given in August by top cybercrime officials, describes the value of Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn and other services to government investigators. It does not describe in detail the boundaries for using them.
“It doesn’t really discuss any mechanisms for accountability or ensuring that government agents use those tools responsibly,” said Marcia Hoffman, a senior attorney with the civil liberties foundation.
The group sued in Washington to force the government to disclose its policies for using social networking sites in investigations, data collection and surveillance.
Covert investigations on social-networking services are legal and governed by internal rules, according to Justice Department officials. But they would not say what those rules are.
The Justice Department document raises a legal question about a social-media bullying case in which U.S. prosecutors charged a Missouri woman with computer fraud for creating a fake MySpace account — effectively the same activity that undercover agents are doing, although for different purposes.
The woman, Lori Drew, helped create an account for a fictitious teen boy on MySpace and sent flirtatious messages to a 13-year-old neighborhood girl in his name. The girl hanged herself in October 2006, in a St. Louis suburb, after she received a message saying the world would be better without her.
A jury in California, where MySpace has its servers, convicted Drew of three misdemeanor counts of accessing computers without authorization because she was accused of violating MySpace’s rules against creating fake accounts. But last year a judge overturned the verdicts, citing the vagueness of the law.
“If agents violate terms of service, is that ‘otherwise illegal activity’?” the document asks. It doesn’t provide an answer.
Facebook’s rules, for example, specify that users “will not provide any false personal information on Facebook, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.” Twitter’s rules prohibit its users from sending deceptive or false information. MySpace requires that information for accounts be “truthful and accurate.”
A former U.S. cybersecurity prosecutor, Marc Zwillinger, said investigators should be able to go undercover in the online world the same way they do in the real world, even if such conduct is barred by a company’s rules. But there have to be limits, he said.
In the face-to-face world, agents can’t impersonate a suspect’s spouse, child, parent or best friend. But online, behind the guise of a social-networking account, they can.
“This new situation presents a need for careful oversight so that law enforcement does not use social networking to intrude on some of our most personal relationships,” said Zwillinger, whose firm does legal work for Yahoo and MySpace.
Undercover operations aren’t necessary if the suspect is reckless. Federal authorities nabbed a man wanted on bank fraud charges after he started posting Facebook updates about the fun he was having in Mexico.
Maxi Sopo, a native of Cameroon living in the Seattle area, apparently slipped across the border into Mexico in a rented car last year after learning that federal agents were investigating the alleged scheme. The agents initially could find no trace of him on social media sites, and they were unable to pin down his exact location in Mexico. But they kept checking and eventually found Sopo on Facebook.
While Sopo’s online profile was private, his list of friends was not. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Scoville began going through the list and was able to learn where Sopo was living. Mexican authorities arrested Sopo in September. He is awaiting extradition to the U.S.
The Justice document describes how Facebook, MySpace and Twitter have interacted with federal investigators: Facebook is “often cooperative with emergency requests,” the government said. MySpace preserves information about its users indefinitely and even stores data from deleted accounts for one year. But Twitter’s lawyers tell prosecutors they need a warrant or subpoena before the company turns over customer information, the document says.
“Will not preserve data without legal process,” the document says under the heading, “Getting Info From Twitter … the bad news.”
Twitter did not respond to a request for comment for this story.
The chief security officer for MySpace, Hemanshu Nigam, said MySpace doesn’t want to be the company that stands in the way of an investigation.
“That said, we also want to make sure that our users’ privacy is protected and any data that’s disclosed is done under proper legal process,” Nigam said.
MySpace requires a search warrant for private messages less than six months old, according to the company.
Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes said the company has put together a handbook to help law enforcement officials understand “the proper ways to request information from Facebook to aid investigations.”
The Justice document includes sections about its own lawyers. For government attorneys taking cases to trial, social networks are a “valuable source of info on defense witnesses,” they said. “Knowledge is power. … Research all witnesses on social networking sites.”
But the government warned prosecutors to advise their own witnesses not to discuss cases on social media sites and to “think carefully about what they post.”
It also cautioned federal law enforcement officials to think prudently before adding judges or defense counsel as “friends” on these services.

Marc Anthony Bookal is a 4 yr old boy from N.Y. State. He went missing on Dec 14, 09. He had previously been abused by his mothers live-in boyfriend. He burned his hands and lacerated his kidney and the mother still left him and his older brother with this convicted abuser. I have been wondering for a long time when will they start charging some of these fathers/husbands that their wives kill their children. I realize not all fathers/husbands know that their wives are having bad thoughts about killing their children. But, many do…A few years ago a woman here cut off her babies arms. She had issues before this and the night before she told her husband she is having those thoughts again. He left to work the next morning and she killed the baby by cutting off her arms. She was charged and later they were dropped because they found a tumor on her brain that caused many of these things. But, the point is…he knew she was dangerous. Why wasn’t he charged for leaving that baby with her? There are many many more…seems to be a lot of these cases here in Texas.
Well finally a father/husband was charged and convicted for leaving his child alone with mentally unstable mother!!!

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. — An Amber alert was issued on Wednesday morning for a young girl in Boynton Beach.
Authorities said the victim is between 4 and 5 years old and was last seen wearing pink shorts and a white spaghetti-strap shirt with pink flowers.
The girl was last seen in the 1400 block of Southwest 8th Street in Boynton Beach.
Investigators said the child was in the company of an unknown white man in his mid-40s. He had blond hair but was balding on top, and had scruffy facial hair. He was wearing navy blue pants, gray T-shirt with bold pink lettering on the back.

This story speaks to the fact that some folks are willing to get involved when they see something suspicious going on with a child.
Being proactive in a situation like this and having to admit it was a misunderstanding later sure outweighs doing nothing and regretting it later. JMHO.

Here’s what police say happened:
A father Jaques Viaud had his daughter Jenna Lynn Viaud in the car when he took his son to the bus stop Wednesday morning.
Jenna Lynn got out of the car and ran over to her brother. The girl did not want to get back in the car so the father put her there. That second part, putting her back in the car, is what a witness observed before calling police.
Detectives were able to determine this by going to four elementary schools and talking to any child that took that bus. They interviewed the 6-year-old boy, Jaques, who gave a description of what occurred at the bus stop.
“I told them that daddy didn’t kidnap my sister,” he said when he got home from school. Detectives then contacted his father who verified this information. He and his daughter then met with detectives. The witness confirmed that this was the man and girl she saw Wednesday morning.
The father, Jaques Viaud says even though it was a misunderstanding, he’s glad.
“It’s actually good that someone did alert and get that information out there. So if it was true at least people would be out there looking for her – so it was great,” said Viaud.

‘Designing Women’ star Dixie Carter dies at 70
“Designing Women” star Dixie Carter, whose Southern charm and natural beauty won her a host of television roles, has died at age 70.
Carter died Saturday morning, according to publicist Steve Rohr, who represents Carter and her husband, actor Hal Holbrook. He declined to disclose the cause of death or where she died. Carter lived with Holbrook in the Los Angeles area.
“This has been a terrible blow to our family,” Holbrook said in a written statement. “We would appreciate everyone understanding that this is a private family tragedy.”

Reid Gray Filing For Divorce
He Said It’s For His Family’s ‘Best Interest’
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Reid Gray, the husband of a Ponte Vedra Beach woman charged with trying to extort $50,000 from him, said he is filing for divorce.
Channel 4 Investigator Jennifer Bauer spoke to Gray Monday. He did not want to get into detail about why he is asking for a divorce from his wife, Quinn. He did say, however, that “the decision is in the best interest of our family.”
