Haleigh, 5, is 3 feet tall, weighs 39 pounds and has blond hair and brown eyes and was wearing a pink shirt and underwear. She was last seen near Hermit’s Cove in Satsuma.
Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla, who was involved in the search for Caylee Anthony, joined the search for 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings. Padilla is offering a $25,000 reward for her safe return. Founder of Texas-based EquuSearch, Tim Miller, who’s volunteer group helped look for Caylee Anthony, was also assisting in the search for Haleigh.
The grandfather of Caylee Anthony, the little girl from Orlando found dead last December, is in Putnam County to offer support to the families of Haleigh Cummings. George Anthony is with Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings. The two had lunch together and spoke to the media afterward. Mr. Anthony says he is here for support, and that he and Cummings are part of a unique club. Anthony says this is not about him, it’s just about finding Haleigh.
Update 13Feb2009:
Equusearch volunteers will begin their first search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings this morning. A command center has been set up at 194 E. Buffalo Bluff Road for volunteers to gather and get information.
Members from the KidFinders Network are also set up to help in the search for the missing girl. They have set up a Web site, HelpFindHaleigh.com to ask for donations to help in the search.
Searchers recovered “items of interest” today as they scoured rural Putnam County for signs of missing Haleigh Cummings, Capt. Steve Rose of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said during an afternoon press briefing. He confirmed that the items had been found, but declined to elaborate further.
“I can’t go into any further detail as to what those objects are,” he said.

Hi friends, I watched this moroon Dad and that child moroon girlfriend on Greta last nite. The Dad is lieing as well as the girlfriend. The Dad at one point when asked questions by Greta to the Girlfriend was leaning back trying to half talk out of his mouth to his girlfriend as she was baffled about how to answer the question you could tell and it was simple questions. Remember the movie Thelma and Louise, the cop took his hat off and started slapping the crap out of Brad Pitt when he knew he was lieing about stealing the girl’s money? Let me tell you, if LE would take this two in and do the same to them, they would get the truth in less than five minutes. They are terrible actors, terrible liers, a hundred bricks like i said shy of a load. The Dad was acting like some raging gangster hoodlum when first talking to 911 operator. Then in the background when his dingbat child girlfriend was being asked questions by the 911 operator on what the child was wearing, height, hair color and so on, the moroon Dad in the background was cursing profanity and saying give me the phone, i don’t care what she was wearing and that stuff, they are not even coming out and on and on. My strong statements may not go over well with some, but that is okay, but i can tell you Haleigh and her brother Junior would be better off raised by wolves than these redneck, spaced out, lieing , hillbilly foul mouthed smoking bunch of trash. My Opinion on George being there. If we weren’t dealing with white trash, and actual human people, it might do George some good, as if nothing else to get him out of the house and his mind off Caylee for a little while. Most of us here probably connect our behavior to consequences. They do not, at least until it is too late to change the outcome.
If I quit my job, I would be poor, therefore I won’t quit my job (they don’t think about it until afterwards).
If I drink and drive, I might have a wreck, therefore I won’t drink and drive (they just do it)
If I leave my kids with just anybody, something bad might happen, therefore, I will be careful whom I trust with my kids (this doesn’t occur to them until after the fact).
And even then, they look around for someone else to blame.

Well I hope you all are right and they made all this up to get money and the little girl is ok,but I dont think the father had anything to do with it.He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but it seems like he was trying to care for his kids. UPDATE 14 February 2009:
After four days and no sign of little 5-year-old Haleigh Cumming, the search just got more intense Friday with more interviews, more volunteers and a wider, more expansive search.
Tim Miller, from Texas-based EquuSearch, was involved in the search for Caylee Anthony and is now leading the search for Haleigh.
Investigators are re-interviewing family members, but wouldn’t say which ones.

Saturday: Still No Sign of Haleigh

It’s been five days since 5 year-old Haleigh Cummings was reported missing and police admit they are no closer to finding the Satsuma girl.
But in a news conference Saturday afternoon, Putnam County Undersheriff Rick Ryan said, “We’re as optimistic right now as we were on day one that we’re going to find Haleigh”.
Ryan said the goal of everyone involved is to find Haleigh alive.
More than 250 volunteers spent Saturday searching around the girl’s home on Green Lane and outside of the immediate search area.
Ryan said they did not find anything suspicious in their search. And Ryan said the ‘items of interest’ that were found Friday provide no significance to the investigation.
Ryan elaborated on why they considered the items to be ‘of interest’. He said if it didn’t grow there, investigators wanted to take a close look at it.
Air and water operations continue today and will continue Sunday.
However, Ryan said they will suspend dive operations on Sunday because they feel satisfied with the search to date.
After Sunday, Ryan said investigators will sit down and evaluate all of the areas they have searched and make a determination of whether to expand the grid or keep searching the immediate area.

I saw Tim Miller and shook his hand and he gave me a hug and I kissed him on his cheek. You have no idea what a nice man he is. He looks so much better in person than on T.V. I told him what a wonderful job he was doing and I’m on a blog that is called humbleopinion and that every on that blog loves you and the work that you do. He smiled and said thank-you. Texas Equusearch is very well organized. I had to sign in name-address-home #-cell #-drivers lic.-make, model, year of car. They take a picture of your driver’s lic. and put a band on your wrist. Now you go with a search team you don’t go by yourself.
Well let me tell you this, I should of had boots on. The brush there is something else I was so afriad I would see a snake, the place could be loaded with ticks. I went seaching for 2 hours with my sister. You have no idea want a set up Texas Equusearch has it’s big time nice. The trailer park area is not bad, it’s one of those trailer parks that are very well kept.

Investigators have also determined that several objects they deemed “items of interest” that were found by searchers Friday are not related to Haleigh’s disappearance, Chief Deputy Rick Ryan said at the news conference.

After months of searching, Caylee Anthony’s remains were found in a wooded area near her home. People searching in Satsuma are optimistic this search will end differently and Haleigh will be found alive.
When I first heard the 911 tapes I really belived the Dad/Girlfriend had nothing to do with it. But everything just seems so fishy. And why Kid Finders of all people? I think the gf had some people over there after the father went to work. May not have known them all (drug deals?) Someone over there unlocked the door before they left the trailer, one of the visitors, they all left, went around the trailer when the coast was clear, propped the door open. Came back later after the gf was asleep. They came in the door took haleigh left the door open and left.
my thought is she would not have heard the door open, wouldnt have heard the door being propped open, maybe tv on and such. And it could have been a stranger brought over by the friends. gf may be afraid to say anything about it the dad.
Also I had a dream earlier about her, that she is near the water, or in it, just saw a large body of water…no im not a psychic but have had dreams about things in the past and they have been true…kinda weird..i dont know…hope im not right this time.

Search teams are back out Sunday, on land and on the water, searching for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings, who disappeared from her home Monday night.
Meanwhile, the rift between Haleigh’s family members could be over for the time being.
The family feud could be seen from the first day Haleigh disappeared, when her grandparents on her mother’s side questioned stories Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings, and his girlfriend, Misty Croslin, first gave to detectives when the girl vanished from her Putnam County home.

I had a bad dream about this little girl last night.. I don’t think my dreams come true, or that I’m a psychic or anything, but it just freaked me out. I dreamed that I was out searching for her, and someone came and told me that she had been found and that someone had butchered her. I was crying my eyes out. I hope they find this baby alive. This stuff is happening WAY too often. My kids are pretty much grown, but I still worry constantly over them. I don’t know what I’d do if someone ever hurt one of them. I Can tell you this much, that person would probably never make it to trial alive. Mess with me all you want, but leave my children ALONE.

Hi Humble..This is so sad…this family seems not to be to well educated and rather poor..but I doubt they hid the child in hopes of getting money..it is a strange case indeed..they live out in the country so the chances of someone wandering by and looking in the window and by chance sees the little girl is a long shot..more like someone had to have known she was there and knew the 17 yr old was alone with the children..and whats up with the deadbolt? He first said it was just a little plastic lock then it comes out it was a deadbolt..who puts a deadbolt on a screen door..ODD. The father has been linked to drugs ..wonder if it could have something to do with his drug buddies??

Hi folks. I’m checking in and hoping the Daytona 500 doesn’t get rained on. I am suspicious of the father and the girlfriend and the mother. I feel drugs had some kind of role in Haleigh’s disappearance. I’m guessing drugs probably played a part in the father having primary custody and not the mother. All of the parties I mentioned have been less than forthcoming in the television interviews I’ve seen. It absolutely should be about finding Haleigh, but I’m betting the behavior of the “adults” involved in her life, had a hand in her disappearance. Oh, and about George’s “unique club” comment – doesn’t this bunch know when to shut-up??!! The comment was inappropriate at best and stupid at worst.

After a sixth day of searching for 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings turned up “nothing of significance,” authorities said they are close to wrapping up the ground operation and on Sunday moved the command center from the neighborhood to the Putnam County emergency operations center.

5th day with no success. I am really concerned that this child has been harmed. If the family planned this I do not think that they intended to keep her secure this long, and now they do not know how to produce her without incriminating themselves.
Poor little girl. All is not lost yet. Please do not give up. Every effort to find Heleigh will be expended. All are very tired, yet willing to push on if needed. Ground search is suspended, but not over. Remapping is being done at this moment and when finished, will provide new area’s of intererest that require further searching. There are a multitude of problems with this case. The primary objective should be the child.

RESONDENT IS CRYSTAL AND PETITIONER IS RONALD:
2. Respondent is a chronic victim of domestic violence and abuse at the hand of Ronald Cummings and as such was intimidated by the Petitioner.
3. Petitioner used his history of control and intimidation to manipulate the testimony and effectively silence the Respondent.
4. The Magistrate is acting upon incomplete information in that the Petitioner is reputed to be a known drug dealer in the community. He is further alleged to have repeatedly physically abused the respondent.
5. His chosen lifestyle and illegal business actions pose a severe risk to the children.
6. Respondent has a history of having tried cocaine at the insistence of the Petitioner.
7. The Respondent lives in McClenny, Florida, approximately 80 miles from the Petitioner. The Respondent was fired from her job because of the actions of the Petitioner after he had allowed the Mother to take them and then insisted upon return of the children.
8. Presumption in the law under F.S. 744.301(1) is that the mother of a child born out of wedlock is the natural guardian of the child and is entitled to primary residential custody.
9. The Petitioner is a known abuser who has threatened violence against others besides the Respondent.
10. Petitioner has a history of abusing not only the Petitioner, but others within his own family.
11. The Petitioner is alleged to have threatened to kill the Respondent and others that attract his ill temper.
12. Witnesses unrelated to this case, who have issued police reports against the Petitioner have stated that they are fearful of retribution.
13. The Petitioner does not take care of the children and leaves them with other family members.
14. Petitioner has threatened to leave town with the children.
15. Habitually the Petitioner has driven recklessly and endangered the lives of both the children and the Respondent. The Petitioner has had several severe wrecks and is a threat to himself and others.

17. During or about the month of July 2005, Ronald failed to keep control of the toddler Haleigh while she was in his care, and allowed her to wander off. The child was found and resvued by the Mother, floating face down in the canal behind the house;. The Mother rescued and revived the child.
I sure hope this little girl is found soon…it’s easy to judge someone who doesn’t fit our “ideal” lifestyle…this dad is only 25 years old, but he seems sincere, and obviously he is working to support his family, and also he must be doing something right, as he has primary custody of his child…the 17 year old gf is probably scared to death…until something concrete is found otherwise, I choose to believe they are telling the truth…Lord please let Haleigh be found alive and well…

Volunteers are not joining Putnam County deputies this morning in the search efforts for the missing 5-year-old girl.
More than 200 volunteers, including many from Texas EquuSearch, helped sheriff’s deputies search the Satsuma area for Haleigh Cummings since Friday.
EquuSearch volunteers spent several months in 2008 searching for missing Caylee Marie Anthony. The toddler’s remains were found in December, a short distance from her home. Her mother, Casey Anthony, 22, is charged with first-degree murder in her death.
I only hope that lessons learned in the search for Caylee help them search for other children.

The whole story sounds fishy…it is highly unlikely a little 5 year old girl would not just wander off in the middle of the night, in the dark all by herself…also most 17 year olds I know, can sleep pretty soundly, or did the 17 year old know exactly what happened?…the door being propped open with a cinder block tells me, someone carried her out, and needed an easy, clear path…the million dollar questions are…first…was Haleigh awake?…second…did she know this person?…third…was she unconscious or worse?…this all gives me a very sick feeling…I hope and pray she is alive and well

The excerpt of the document I posted Feb 15 22:55 was a rebuttal petition by Crystal to Judges order for Ronald’s custody. There are always two sides in a divorce and you have to take what is said with a grain of salt. But that said, it does seem that that home was no place for a child.

The search for a missing 5-year-old girl was scaled back Monday, but crews are also focusing on a new area. Dozens of deputies are now searching through thick, heavy brush looking for Haleigh Cummings.
Sixty-one deputies were conducting a grid search Monday in a wooded area just a few miles from Haleigh Cumming’s home in Satsuma. Deputies think the 5-year-old was taken from her bedroom last Tuesday and there’s still no sign of her this afternoon.

That’s someone’s quote on Gretawire- and that’s where I heard that they lived there only weeks. It is looking more and more like this child was taken by someone who knows that family, so investigaters should really be knowing where to look by now. I just keep hoping and praying every day i’ll hear some good news here!

A week into the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings, law-enforcement officials vowed Monday to find the missing Putnam County girl.
About 60 officers continued to search for the 5-year-old from Satsuma who vanished last week from her family’s mobile home while her father’s girlfriend slept.
Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy said during a televised news conference that investigators have identified another area they plan to canvass within the next day or so.
“We’ve not abandoned this search,” Hardy said.

kat, my daughter’s ex has a daughter with turners, it causes growth to be stunted some, requires hormone shots to help stimulate growth. digits are shorter than normal, can cause heart problems, she has much ear trouble, hearing loss in one ear. mentally they are not affected, but do tend to have lower immune system, she was sick alot, i don’t see her much anymore, she is 13 now, not as developed as most girls her age, she looks to be about 9 or 10 yrs. old. i used to know more but i really don’t remember much since i am not in contact with them, my daughter knows alot, she used to take her to endoctrinologist (sp) once a yr. & gave her her shots at night.
Haleigh’s Press Confencene is on WESH. They don’t know what kind of clothes she had on. Didn’t that 17 year old put her to sleep. Something is wrong.

They are thinking that the 17 year old was suppose to be watching the 2 children may have not been home during one point of the night. So no one was watching the children. But, she was home was the father came home from work.

If you have been following this case you would see the 17 year old has been changeing her story on other things. This is not a big town and they don’t have a lot of money. They have to trust all the info. they get. If you have someone telling you one thing and a another thing. Who can you believe. The news is saying the 17 year old should get a lawyer. I was there Sat. in Satsuma looking for her, it’s sad.

Wow, I have not heard how the 17 year old needs to get a lawyer. I thought maybe there was a jealous guy and he took the girl because he wanted to be with the 17 year old girlfriend? I know it sounds ridiculous but these kids are high school age and aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer…

Eyewitness News discovered that the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Ronald Cummings’ girlfriend, who claimed that she was at home and sleeping when Haleigh Cummings was taken. But a tip puts the spot light on the 17-year-old girlfriend.

The search for a missing 5-year-old Putnam County girl has entered its second week.
Haleigh Cummings was reported missing during the early morning hours of Feb. 10.
During a press conference Wednesday afternoon, detectives announced that an anonymous donor recently donated $10,000 to the Crime Stoppers reward fund set up for anyone with information about Haleigh. The total reward is now $16,000.
Authorities are asking people to focus on what Haleigh looks like to help bring her home.
The latest on the news is that the Police are checking out a car. That’s all they said. They are being ever closed mouth about this case.

Hi everyone. I don’t post hardly anymore, but I do lurk around and read. I watched Nancy last night. Most of the show was about Haleigh. I don’t know as if I believe the girlfriend’s story. I don’t think she was involved in Haleigh being missing, but I’m thinking maybe she wasn’t there at the time. Maybe left the kids there for awhile, and when she came back, Haleigh was gone? Which would explain the back door being propped open. She’s probably too afraid to say she left them alone.
I believe the dad. I really do. He seems genuine to me. He does have a temper, I guess, but I can tell he loves his daughter, and didn’t have anything to do with it.
On Nancy last night, they showed Haleigh’s bed being 4 feet away from Misty’s bed. How could Misty not have heard anything? Plus they said, when Misty got up to use the bathroom, was when she noticed the kitchen light on and the back door open. But Misty didn’t use the bathroom that was in the bedroom she was in, she went out of her bedroom and used the other bathroom. Why, I wonder? Some things just don’t add up, that’s why I’m thinking maybe she wasn’t there when she said she was.
It’s been 3 weeks, that’s an awful long time, I so hope they find her alive and well.

If your child is missing, gone, dead maybe, tortured, whatever,….THIS is an ok time to get married?? And go off on a honeymoon to boot? Are they freaking serious? My God… can you spell inappropriate?
The ONLY possible excuse is that they’re trying to be outraegous in the public eye, in order to keep the case interesting,…to help find Haleigh.

Ron is so upset that his daughter is missing, I really don’t think he knows what he is doing. He really didn’t know Misty that long. He really should of waited. By marrying her is not a good way to start off a marriage. Your looking for your beautiful daughter and you get married, that was no a good idea.
I went to Satsuma when Haleigh was first missing. It does look like a nice quite area of Florida. The trailer Park is nice and clean.
Why Misty used the other bathroom, maybe she didn’t what to wake up the kids or that bathroom didn’t work.

Just my Opinion , But , For what its worth , The father has only been dating the G/F / Wifey for 6 months , They lived there for only 3 weeks , the reverend who lived there before said the house makes much noise with every movement made ! The father said he put the dead bolt on after moving in and that he persnally made sure it was locked before he left for work , Also he made a point to also state that that back door Sticks and is very difficult to open and shut without having to maneuver it to do so . Misty has changed her statements many times over ! I also recall her making the statement that Haleigh was Daddy’s Little Girl ! Jealous maybe ? I also noticed that when she was on TV after wedding that when asked a specific ? as to why she changed her story so many times She looked toward Ron for a long pause before saying ” I don’t know ” I am totally convinced she knows much more and so does her Ron , think this marriage was done because they think there is a law not to testify against a spouse but the truth is that it does no apply to them or this situation because they werent married before this incident ! I do believe we wont find this child anytime soon and I fear she is already deceased. I’m sorry if this offends anyone but I totally believe that getting married in the middle of all of this drama is extremely wrong and in poor taste ! No matter what excuse they give there is no reason fo this to have been important at this time ! If this was what Haleigh wanted then why didnt they get engaged while she was alive ? Why wait till after she is gone ? I find it extremely important that Misty herself didnt even know what that child was wearing to bed ! Ron could have been dealing drugs and Misty took care of the business when Ron went to work..she may have gone outside to take care of a customer and that’s when Haleigh was taken..it also could be drug related..maybe he owed someone or it could be he was being told something.

I have to say I was a little perterbed by NG last night when talking with Crystal and her lawyer , because if you stop and think about it Crystal was still only 16 or 17 and he 21 when ( Ron ) he came and got the kids for a visit and then didnt return the kids and went for a hearing to keep the kids , I dont know why they didnt mention that and the reason the judge gave him the kids in my mind is because he was older and showed proof he was working and probably used his mother who works for the Sheriff office as a collaborator that he would do better for the kids then her the teenager !!! I am sure that is how it went down ! For lack of a better word Her Legal Aide defense was A Piece of Sh*t who probably didnt want to deal with a teenager ! I know that the System works this way Unfortunatly ! I believe these two idiots will be arrested and charged hopefully Both but I see definetly Misty ! Her newest story was that she put Haleigh to bed at 8pm and 30 min later she was asleep and then she finished washing and drying her bed sheets ( Hers & Rons ) then took one of the fresh blankets and covered Haleigh on her bed and Then she said she made her bed and got in it and fell asleep , Now what I find unusual is she didnt mention where Jr was since she claimed he slept in her bed , didnt she have to wake him to make the Unmade bed before she made it to get back in it ?? Isnt odd she didnt even mention him in this latest version of her side of the story ??? So where was Jr ????? How did she make a bed with a toddler in it ??? How come she says she woke up and saw the light on and went to check it out yet didnt notice Haleigh gone that very second ??? How come she made sure to say after realizing Haleigh was gone she Called her Mother ??? Why not 911 ??? Why wait till Ron got home ??? And her Mom showed up right after he did !!!! This Story reaks of Inconsistency’s I think maybe she beat the poor child and then realized she was dead and thought if Casey can get away with it so can I ??? Ok the last part was a dramatization on my part LOL She isnt that smart either !!! LOL Oh yeah One more thing According to the Police report She said she noticed her gone just before 3 am and frantically searched the house ( Not OUTSIDE ) then at 3:27 am the cops were first called via 911 and they arrived at 3:40 am that is 13 minutes after Ron got there and her Mom arrived right after them !!!!! So what was she doing for the 30 or so minutes ????? Neither of them said she was holding Jr when Ron pulled up to the house and she was standing at the open Front door !!! So where was Jr ?? Now Ron has 2 lawyers from the Putnam County area. If his ex-girlfriend thought he was miss treating the 2 kids she should of done something about it. I believe she did and the courts didn’t believe her. This should be about finding Heleigh and nothing else.

Its not Rocket Science, but if you are given Garbage from the get go then it would seem to me that you are going to have to start from the garbage pile to get to the answers and hopefully find the child somewhere in the mist of it all , Its impossible to expect LE to immediatley find this child if they have been given the wrong information from the start ! Now According to Misty she got up to get a drink ! Saw the light on in the kitchen and went to see why ? Thats when she said she saw the back door open and the cinder block holding open the screen door ! Yet When asked The Father says over and over again that the light in the Kitchen is always left on !!!!! So Why Would Misty find this ODD ???? Maybe its quite possible she was out and not home , and she arrived home right before the father ! And in doing so She Did in fact call her Mom and told her the kid was missing and was afraid to tell Ron she has no clue as to when the child was actually taken !!! As far as the Bruising on the pics are concerned , The nurse wouldnt report to Division of youth and family services about a fall and scrape on the playground , as yu can see she wrote a very brief synopsis , yet there was a claim made by Ron and Misty that the child was in a fight in school if you can remember that fact that was thrown out there a while back , 10 days later a Nurse took those pics it clearly shows a child who was battered Not the simple scrape from a playground from 10 days earlier !!! The Hospital staff did note the Laceration and balck eye and when asked they were told it was from 3 days earlier at school yet this is an outright lie !!! Again The division of youth and family services wasnt called because that response was reasonable to them on face value ! As a Nurse who worked the ER knows its discretionary of the Hosp personel who they call DYFS On !! Clearly this may not be right in many cases but it is the way its done and the fact remains many children slip thru the cracks because of it and the Hospital and Nurses cannot be held accountable because they can claim the reason the child was there was for Stomach illness and felt that they were told it happened at school that its the school’s responsibility to report if they so inclined !! A scrape on the nose does not make a Black eye !! I have 3 children and 2 grand children and was raised in a family of 15 kids so I think I am pretty sure that I would be concerned that this is a sign of abuse IMO And as for NG trying to insist otherwise and trying to make it appear as if they are making this up is totally wrong on her part !! My Children go to school here in Fla , There is NO NURSE ON STAFF AT EITHER OF THEIR SCHOOLS !! Only the Secretary who decides whether or not the parents should be called or if the child should just go back to class !!! I know this because I have been called by my children ( Via Cell Phones ) and had to go there to get my kids after certain incidents and I also witnessed the secretary in action when other children were sent to the front office to complain about illnesses and accidents that happened in gym ! When I Inquired about one child who had clearly been having a reaction to a bug bite , if she was going to call for an ambulance so he could be treated properly she informed me that he was already down here twice and she called his Mothers cell phone and got no answer ! She also informed me that she gave him ice for his Swelling , I was like Lady what if he goes into Respiratory Distress ?? She said there is a person ( Teacher ) in the building who is CPR Certified , Wow Just one ??? She said there is a total of 3 ( Teachers ) people certified and that 2 were out , She then informed the child to go back to class !!!! ( As She was very annoyed by my questions ) Do I have faith in the system NO WAY !!! Did she ever mention that she would call 911 NO SHE DID NOT !!!! Just an FYI My Daughters have both been CPR Certified and have taken BLS because I dont have any faith in the school systems down here !!!

Misty got cold feet, but was urged at vigil for Haleigh by others there to do it.
They were about to get the re-enactment underway when Misty balked again.
Misty said she didn’t remember things – didn’t want to do it at all and got angry
Ron got angry at Misty – talked about it with Cobra at Memaw’s over some sweet tea.
Cobra told Ron about “Greg” – a young African American male with whom Misty was rumored to have been having sex
Cobra said Ron confirmed that he knew all about “Greg”
Cobra asked Ron why he married Misty anyway
Ron replied that “she is the only tie he has to Haleigh and that he will keep her until Haleigh returns”
Cobra claims to have nearly coaxed Misty Croslin, the then girlfriend of Ron Cummings into doing a “re-enactment” of the evening Haleigh was abducted from the home. He states Ron was willing and encouraged Misty to participate and when she balked after saying she would, the couple argued and she stormed off. Cobra goes on to say that Ronald Cummings told him he knows all about the affair that Misty had been having with a man named Greg, and he married her anyway.
When asked by Cobra why he would marry her if he knew she was with this “white boy Greg” Ronald Cummings replied “You keep your friends close you keep your enemies closer.”

But there is one man very visibly and actively out searching the area, a private investigator and bounty hunter from Miami who goes by the name of “Cobra.”
William “Cobra” Staubs has been in Satsuma for more than a week. He is searching woods on his own and following up on leads. He says he is making progress.
“Investigators have five weeks working on this, I’ve had one week and I’ve caught up…now I have to connect all the dots,” says Cobra.
Cobra visited the home of an accused sex offender Friday, and earlier in the week he asked Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin Cummings to re-enact the night Haleigh disappeared.
Cobra is paid partly by an anonymous donor in Miami. He says he will stay in Satsuma until his money runs out.
Also Friday, the Putnam County Sheriff’s office told First Coast News that deputies were involved in looking into allegations of child abuse or neglect by Ronald Cummings three times in the last four years.
None of the incidents led to criminal charges.

Hi everybody. I don’t get over here much, but I have been following the case daily. I thought from day one that Misty was lying about what happened. Her demeanor was suspicious and still is. Ronald Cummings said he is the only one with a key to that trailer. There was no sign of forced entry (that I’m aware of), so that means the intruder was either let in, or the door was unlocked. I believe Misty had a habit of sneaking away after the kids fell asleep and left the door unlocked, so she could slip back in before Ronald got back home. If Junior saw the kidnapper, then why didn’t he alert Misty, since she slept right next to him? He couldn’t if she wasn’t there. Crystal is acting suspiciously too. Why wait until now to allege abuse? Could she have had Haleigh taken to bolster her claim of neglect and abuse? Maybe…it is also suspcious that she hasn’t mentioned getting custody of Haleigh, just Junior at this point. Almost as if she knows Haleigh isn’t coming back. Some have mentioned maybe Ron did something to Haleigh before he went to work and Misty helped him clean up the mess. Even though Ron seems to be less than a sympathetic character, I don’t think he hurt his daughter. His habits or associations may have gotten his daughter taken. Bottom line is, I think Misty is being the least forthcoming and the police need to get her to talk. Otherwise, Haleigh may never be found.

I’m watching NG coverage of Haleigh’s disappearance. I still say Misty is lying. She said she got up to go to the bathroom and didn’t make it. She noticed the kitchen light was on and then noticed the door to the trailer was open. First of all, Ronald Cummings said that kitchen light is always on. Second, what kidnapper would bring a cinder block to prop the door open, then leave the kitchen light on? Ron said he didn’t recognize the cinder block, so the kidnapper must have brought it. Misty’s stories make no sense. The longer she refuses to tell the truth, the more she will look guilty.

I have done alot of investigation myself on this case. Also on the Police report posted it says the deputies arrived at the house code 3 lights and sirens at 3:40 am in the police report misty said she got up to get a drink of water just before 3 am and Ron returned home about 5 mins later. He says as soon as he got home he told Misty to call 911 which would have been no later than 3:05 am according to Ron’s acct. So what happened in the 35 mins from 3:05 Am and 3:40 am? Also I have this info as well

I just wanted to say that I have read the court order giving Ron Custody of the kids. The only difference between the Bio Mom and Bio Dad is that he had a job for 3 months and she had lost hers because she went from GA to Fl to visit the kids. He would not let her leave the Palatka area with the kids even after he had taken them to Mexico and Texas for almost a month and she lost her job over the fact she could not go to work.
Also under Oath the Dad said all of his previous arrests for Drugs etc was way back in 1999 and should not be considered however I found his arrest report he was given custody of the kids only 4 months after being arrested on DRUG Charges and was on Probation when he lied under oath saying he had not been arrested when actually he had been arrested several times since 1999 he was arrested in possesion of Marijuana over 20 grams, Herion, Cocaine, Drug Paraphanalia, Opiates other than heroin, pure Opium and several other Drug related offenses. He lied on Nancy Grace when he said he had never been convicted that is not true he plead No Contest and received a lighter sentence in a plea agreement with the State so they did not have to spend money bringing him to trial. He Girlfriend now Child Bride has changed her story many times and on the Today Show when Meredith Viera asked Misty why she had changed her story so many times she was silent looked up at Ron and when he said nothing she said I don’t know. I don’t know. I am all for equality when it comes to the custody and Child Support of Children but this Man shows Classic signs of being a Abuser of Women I should know been there more times than I can count. He also admitted on National TV that he has dated many Teenagers. Not normal behavior for a Man.
Just my 2 cents for what it’s worth. I commend Crystal for opening the foundation to try to find her daughter and to try to get custody of JR for now to protect him. 1 Child is Missing already.

I think they need to arrest Misty for impeding an investigation since she has changed her story so many times.
Also in the Police Report and on the 911 tapes Ron kept saying “They” being the key word here stole my baby. He also referred to Misty in the Police Report as my Bit&h A$$ Girlfriend. And the other night on Nancy Grace he said Please bring my Daughter back “It is time to bring her home” Ron’s Mom says ” I know Haliegh is still alive” because the Dogs have not found her body. All of this is key information.
When Ron and Misty appeared on the Today Show His arms were crossed and his legs shaking. Misty kept holding her head down and when they talked both of them looked down and to the left. Classic signs of someone that is Lying. They had gotten Married the day before and they were supposed to be a loving couple but they were not holding hands nothing they seemed like Brother and Sister sitting there.

This home is a 3 bedroom 2 bath Double wide why was the 2 kids sleeping in Daddy and Misty’s bedroom and not in their own rooms?
The first story Misty gave on 2-12 Was Haleigh had gotten up to go to the bathroom and when she did not come back Misty went to look for her. Toilet again 5 feet away from where Haleigh was sleeping.
The next Story Misty said was that she herself had gotten up to go to the bathroom then noticed Haliegh Missing.
Then she said she woke up and Haleigh was missing she searched the whole house then Ron came home and she told him. Then it was she called him on the phone. Then Ron said she was standing in the Front Door and when he asked why she was not in bed she told him. Then Ron said she was calling him as he was pulling in the driveway.
Well that is all I have to say for now. I will have more to come as soon as I investigate some more.

Kidnapping: Whenever a person is taken or detained against his or her will, including hostage situations, whether or not the victim is moved. Kidnapping is not limited to the acts of strangers but can be committed by acquaintances, by romantic partners, and, as has been increasingly true in recent years, by parents who are involved in acrimonious custody disputes. According the FBI’s National Crime Information Center (NCIC)
85% to 90% of the 876,213 persons reported missing to America’s law enforcement agencies in 2000 were juveniles (persons under 18 years of age). That means that 2,100 times per day parents or primary care givers felt the disappearance was serious enough to call law enforcement.
152,265 of the persons reported missing in 2000 were categorized as either endangered or involuntary.
The number of missing persons reported to law enforcement has increased from 154, 341 in 1982 to 876,213 in 2000. That is an increase of 468%.
According to the United States Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Juvenile Justice Bulletin, June 2000
Kidnapping makes up less than 2 percent of all violent crimes against juveniles reported to police.
Based on the identity of the perpetrator, there are three distinct types of kidnapping: kidnapping by a relative of the victim or “family kidnapping” (49 percent), kidnapping by an acquaintance of the victim or “acquaintance kidnapping” (27 percent), and kidnapping by a stranger to the victim or “stranger kidnapping” (24 percent).
Family kidnapping is committed primarily by parents, involves a larger percentage of female perpetrators (43 percent) than other types of kidnapping offenses, occurs more frequently to children under 6, equally victimizes juveniles of both sexes, and most often originates in the home.

Although there are no quick fixes to the problems of child safety, there are many things that we can do as adults to address and positively impact the issue.

Angela thanks for the links & all the info! We have all been so involved in Caylee’s case, that Haleigh seems to be on the back burner… its not that we don’t care, just in the other one so deep.
It looks like things may be coming to a head. Very interesting about the Cobra guy’s statement! I really don’t see a loving relationship between Ron & Misty, don’t know why they couldn’t wait to be married, they were already living together. None of that matters, I guess they just needed each other… what matters is where is Haleigh & what has happened to her??
At first I tried to be objective, with Caylee’s case but it was obvious that Casey was responsible from the beginning. I don’t want to base my opinion on what happened to Haleigh on the out come of Caylee’s murder.
Misty seems to be afraid of something… I don’t think it was very responsible of Ron to leave his children with a seventeen yr. old girl all night long while he was working, emergencies come up, high fevers, earaches, ect. She is young for such responsibility. I know that with Turner’s children can get sick often. My daughter had a step daughter that has Turner’s & has hearing loss due to severe ear infections & has had a ruptured ear drum. She has had tubes in her ears most of her life. Misty is awfully young to know how to handle situations that might arise. I wonder if Haleigh recieved proper medical care, I know the child I spoke of had to see a specialist for her heart & an endocrinologist for blood work, and to chart her growth & developement,on a yearly basis & was in the pediatrician’s office frequently. She was given hormone injections at home to help her grow. She was sick often due to a weakened immune system. Did Haleigh recieve proper medical attention??
There are many unanswered questions here. I feel very sorry for this family, they are suffering great heartache, it is possible that an intruder was involved, anything is possible. But there is something strange going on here… I just pray that Haliegh will be found soon. TOO many unanswered questions…

That bouncing on the couch is a bit much. I don’t think the little boy would lie. I think Misty is more inclined to lie…. and Ron marries her before he even knows what happened to his little girl. Why are all these horrible things happening in Florida?

Yes, it is disgusting that Ron seems to prefer underage girls. Among many disgusting traits that he has. He is what they call white trash. Misty too. They probably come from families just like them.
Having sex with underage girls is illegal in most states, they call it “statutory rape” because the girl isn’t considered old enough to “consent”. But it is certainly not uncommon. I imagine law enforcement only pursues these cases if someone complains, like the girls parents. If her parents don’t care, as white trash tends not to, then the police don’t do anything.

Junior’s story sounded like coaching to me from the beginning. The additional details about the squeaky shoes and the couch bouncing are also suspicious. If I tried to list every single thing I know, think, heard or suspect it would take me hours and wouldn’t amount to much more than more unnecessary confusion. There are so many conflicting stories within my family, police, media, etc.
To try to answer some of the zillion questions on here and in private messages….
Yes, I am a close relative. I don’t want to say which side because 1) it seems irrelevant 2) I’m afraid of Ron and 3) It won’t help find Haleigh.
The fight I am talking about is an incident that happened the weekend before Haleigh went missing. Supposedly, Ronnie robbed some drug dealers at gunpoint for drugs and drug money. It wasn’t reported for obvious reasons but the police have had numerous consistent reports from people (including myself) who know it happened and/or were there. The police believe it happened but the problem is that no one will tell WHO it was he robbed. People who know and were there will talk to everyone else but as soon as police start questioning them, they clam up. Witnesses told police they heard the people he robbed threaten retaliation. Police need to know WHO he robbed.
I asked about the boat because police know that Misty was hanging out a lot with the guy Dan S. He has a boat and there was a report of a boat traveling at high speeds the night of Haleigh’s disappearance. Dan S. ex wife has told the family (I have talked to her extensively) horror stories about his propensity for little girls and what he has done in the past. She alleges that he has paid off drug debts in exchange for children he uses/sells and has connections to the sex trade industry in the Philippines. She could be lying or crazy, but that’s what she says. I felt it was worth looking into. Police told me they don’t know anything for sure but that he is not cleared as a suspect.
Detectives have told me that they believe Misty and Ronnie are not telling the truth or at least not the whole truth. As far as polygraphs, people can “pass” them if ) they believe their own lie or 2) they are habitual liars. Nobody has been cleared.
And last but least, I believe an arrest will be made soon.
Seems Ronald and Ms. Neves have some pull in that town. Not sure if it is due to her job or her son being an informant. Or both.
Yes. He has to be an informant. There is no way someone can have those many drug charges and escape a long incarceration.
From the Cobra video – it appears she tried to set him up. Funny how she just seemed to disappear when they were taping in the woods.
Well, she may have some of local LE on her side. But, Feds always trump county and state.
Did a search on registered sex offenders using Haleigh’s address and going out 5 miles. The town
seems to be full of registered sex offenders. To make matters worse, it looks like one of Misty’s relatives is listed there and moved to that area in January.
In the interest of fairness, I will also do some research on the other side of the family.

Interesting That Ron’s Mommy Has Her Hand Involved in Keeping her Son out of Jail , I do Believe He May Very Well Be an Informant and this would also make it very easy in his Mind to get away with Doing illegal Activity Knowing full well he can get away with it ! I must say it seems Crstal has NO Criminal History at all HUH !!! I hope they make an Arrest soon and I do truly hope they find Haleigh ! I also hope that Ron’s Mom will start telling the truth ! There is no way she can work in the Capacity at the Sheriff’s office and not have to be truthful to her Superiors , I too believe Ron is an Informant and Figured because of this he will not be proscecuted for any illegal activity he can get away with anything ! Too Many weeks have passed to believe there will be a good outcome

Me 2 Southern Me too , Honestly I did see her Crying real tears and shaking , And as far as Ron Crying and having tears well My First Husband Could cry like that on he dop of a dime !!! He was very Abusive and had People Convinced that he ws a wonderful guy ! Yet the Truth be told he was a Very mean Man who beat women and children and Killed the Family pets ( His 2nd wife ) ( Who btw thought I was the monster until he beat her and shoved her face in Dog poop and It was my son and I who eventually helped her and her Child ! ) Sad to say but I do think he is a Wolf in Sheeps Clothing !
