Officer Brendan Fletcher was the first of OCSO to take the stand and first to arrive at the scene of the Anthony house!
When he got there he made contact with the caller, Cynthia Anthony. She was upset and giving what she knows. George was also home, along with Casey. Casey didn’t say much, nor was she forth coming with information. He was asking questions, Casey was NOT responding.
Officer Fletcher was the one who followed Casey with Officer Acevado to the last location as to where Casey last saw Caylee. REMEMBER Casey said she dropped Caylee off at the bottom of the stairway? Well anyways, Officer Fletcher was told to go to the second floor apartment 210. He looked in the window and the the apartment was empty.
Baez asked did he not smell the car in the garage? Did he write it in the report?
Adriana Avecedo was up after lunch. She arrived, got the skinny from corporal Fletcher and took Casey over to the Sawgrass apartments. Casey sat in the back and showed Acevedo where to drive and where to stop. Casey pointed to the apartment on the second floor apartment 210. They left the Anthony house at 11:53, arrived at Sawgrass at 12:05 am and returned to the Anthony home at 12:25. Caey was never put in handcuffs, nor was she arrested.
ALOT of problems with the feed due to terrible weather in Florida!
Amanda Macklin, manager of SawGrass was on the stand. She said that ZFG did NOT rent an apartment at Sawgrass. Apartment 210 has been empty since February 25 2008.
Reginald Hosey is on the stand. He walked and talked to Casey briefly. He was tryng to find out the location of the child. He did NOT know at this point Caylee was kidnapped.
FINALLY GOT FEED back!
Defense: Did you have 3 marked patrol cars outside. When he arrived at the scene Fletcher and Acevedo were there. He does not remember telling anyone to take the handcuffs off Casey Anthony. The garage was open, the trunk was open, and he did not report it to CSI, you did not conduct any inspections on the vehicle. He wrote no reports on this either. Casey walked with Hosey for about 40 yards, YES he was in uniform. Of course we got to see Mason in action. In Florida if you have a missing child, don’t call LE, too many will show up with uniforms, cop cars, and guns
State:
Casey advised Hosey that Caylee was with the babysitter and did not want Cindy to have access to Caylee that night. ALL the Anthony’s were free to walk around and leave if they wanted too. No one said no one could leave.
Defense:
How was George? upset and calm. Cynthia was upset, angry and calm at the different times.
